Spend the day with Atlantic Edge fishing charters and find out what the fishing in Ponce inlet and the halifax river is all about! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jason can tell you all about them.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Snook, Permit, Whiting, Bluefish (Tailor), Blacktip Shark, Tarpon, Pompano, Jack Crevalle, Redfish, Black Drum, Spotted Seatrout, Mangrove Snapper, and who knows what else!
On the day of your trip you're likely to jig using light tackle. Capt. Jason also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Children are welcome, so get 'em offline and onto the water! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your trip begins aboard a 17' Flats boat with capacity for 2 passengers. It has all the essentials.
Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Atlantic Edge fishing charters!
