There's a fish with your name on it in Puerto Vallarta and Contender will help you catch it! Captain Ildefonso will be your guide, which means you'll tap into years of professional experience.

You're likely to fish for Black Marlin, African Pompano Jack, Bonito, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Jack Crevalle, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Sierra Mackerel, Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, and more with any luck. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Ildefonso can also have you kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there's bowfishing.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to stay fueled throughout your trip!

You'll step aboard a 30' Super Panga with room for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

Don't leave home without sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
