If you're ready to start fishing in Xcalak, book a trip with Xcalak Fly Fishing & Spinning.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Permit, Tarpon, Snook, Bonefish, and anything else that bites. For these species, you're likely to spin using light tackle. Capt. Camilo also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks!
You'll be casting lines from a 21' East Cape flats boat that holds up to 2 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Capt. Camilo will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.
