Capt Julz was an excellent captain he was very well prepared had excellent gear and great knowledge of his fishery! Although we had a slow day he worked hard to try and get us a swordfish and that’s not an easy task. from the very beginning I could tell he had the experience and knowledge to get us on the fish. they just didn’t cooperate with us today. I would absolutely fish with him again and recommend him to anyone in the grand cayman area. I wish I had a better fish story to tell but we will the next time for sure! Thanks again Capt Julz my girlfriend and I still had a blast fishing with you!

Bottom line up front, I highly recommend Capt. Julz. I went on a morning half-day trip with him. Just me, no kids, nobody else. I’m an experienced angler, and this trip was perfect for what I was looking to do. We trolled for awhile but the sargassum weeds had washed inshore in random pockets. It made for tricky trolling, but Julz did a great job finding the best areas. Rather than waste any time, we decided to deep drop for swordfish instead. While we waited for hits (and we had a couple hits—awesome experience by the way, something I’d never done), the Mahi arrived. We could see them around the boat, so we both began sight-casting towards them. With some teamwork and shuffling around the boat we kept them close to the boat and caught 4/5 in the school to include the biggest. Awesome action!

On our recent trip to Grand Cayman, the highlight of our trip for my older son and I was the fishing charter we scheduled with Reelistik Charters and Captain Julz. Simply put we had a blast and we caught a ton of fish.

We arrived for our charter early but Captain Julz was ready and waiting. When we got to our fishing grounds and for the first 45 minutes or so, didn’t have any luck. Captain Julz didn’t settle for the type of trawling we were doing and mixed it up and then we hit the jackpot. By the end of our excursion we were releasing the fish we caught as we had plenty. It was an amazing experience and my son said he’d remember this forever.

Captain Julz has a very clean boat, is fully equipped, and even had drinks for us. When we got back to the dock he cleaned and filleted the fish we wanted to take with us. He’s definitely the captain to choose and the next time we make it out there we’ll be booking with Reelistik Charters again.

We had an incredible experience with Captain Julius!  He picked us up by boat directly from our hotel and could not have made it easier.  Our 15 year old was ‘hoping’ to catch a fish, but of course thetas never a guarantee and we had no expectations.  That said, we caught two barracudas and two (20 lb.) wahoo!!!  Captain Julius provided everything we needed.  He was so knowledgeable about fishing and the island in general.  He is born and raised in Grand Cayman and was able to point out unique spots while we fished.  He spotted two giant sea turtles mating and stopped for a bit so we could jump in and try to swim closer to them.  It was amazing…these turtles were nearly 400lbs.!  After we caught our fish he took us to Cheeseburger Reef off Georgetown.  We saw a giant tarpon and tons of other beautiful fish.  I would recommend Reelistik Charter to anyone looking for an intimate fishing/snorkeling experience in Grand Cayman.  It was the highlight of our trip! They were super patient with our children and took the time to show them each fish and teach them something about them .

They offered water and gatorade and even shared some of their homemade fried fish.

You can walk to the Lobster Pot from the cruise port and along the way is a Convience Store/Liquor Store so you can pick up snack and drinks.
