If you're in the market for a day to remember, welcome to Hope Floats Adventures & Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain 'H', allowing you to benefit from years of angling experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Drum, Flounder, Kingfish, Pompano, Redfish, Shark, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Tarpon, Whiting, and plenty more.
You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Hector also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to keep their stamina going!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 19' Action Craft Coastal Bay center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. What's more, this marina is wheelchair accessible. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is included as available, but it's good to ask so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Some charters will include a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some ice and water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on 5 hour trips!

I had an absolutely amazing time on this fishing trip! From the moment we left the dock, the captain was friendly, professional, and made sure i had a great experience. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and worked hard to put us on the fish. The boat was clean and well-maintained, and the entire trip was organized from start to finish. Whether you’re an experienced angler or it’s your first time fishing, they make the experience fun and enjoyable for everyone. I caught some great fish and he even put me on a lemon shark, made awesome memories, and couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. I highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for an unforgettable fishing adventure. I’ll definitely be booking another trip. 10/10 experience!
Captain H was gracious and helpful to our family. We booked the whole boat and brought my son, daughter and my wife. Both of or children are adults. My son and I were there for the fishing, and we caught fish on the ocean, and many more in the intercoastal waters. After my son and I had a number of fish caught, Captain H then took us into St. Augustine at night, on the water, it was beautiful to see this historic place from the water. We traveled down to St. Augustine for a teachers conference and went away with some great lessons in fishing and wonderful family memories. I'd easily book again with Hope Floats! ZIP ZIP!!
We arrived and Captain Hector was so welcoming and just could tell he was an amazing guy!! He taught my son ( who loves fishing) so many things about fish and more!! We really enjoyed his company and he had everything we needed and more! My son is already talking about coming and fishing with Hector again next year. It was a core memory for our son and we are so very grateful! The price of experience is so very reasonable and we wish we could have tipped him a lot more , he is an amazing human! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves fishing with Hector! He is a knowledgeable and experienced captain and angler. The larger fish were not biting very much due to the weather, but Hector worked hard to help us catch several small ones: flounder, catfish, sea bass, and brim, among a few others. This was our kids’ first time on a fishing boat and they loved it! I would highly recommend this fishing charter with Hector! Definitely worth every penny! We would love to book again next year when we are back in town.
We are so glad we booked with captain Hector! He was so personable and was able to put us on a lot of fish, even though the conditions were tough. He also shared great knowledge and insights and was happy to answer all of our questions along the way. We had 2 beginners and 3 with not much experience and he easily helped us bring in 6 different species of fish, a crab, and great memories. Thank you Captain Hector!
