Your fishing machine for the day is a 38' Dawson with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Jake will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips, and it is customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
