If you're ready to get hooked on fishing in Wilmington, look no further than RiverBass Guide Service.
You’ll fish for aggressive Largemouth Bass on Wilmingtons popular power plant lake.
You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Young ones are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be casting lines from a 20' Ranger Z520R bass boat with room for 2 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Shawn has rods and reels for you, along with lures.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Water is included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Full Day Trip (Sutton)
Big Bass!
Went with Captain Shawn of RiverBass guide service. My 15 yo son was with us…..what a great day of fishing! Was supposed to rain but never did! The cloud cover was nice. Captain Shawn has a fast bass boat that is loaded with everything needed to catch bass! Captain Shawn is a professional bass fisherman and he lets us pretend we are in a bass tournament……we weigh the fish and keep the top 5 just like we are fishing a tournament……my son loves that! The boat has a **hidden content** well that circulates water and keeps the bass healthy. We caught over 20 bass for the day….lots of younger SUPER aggressive smaller bass that punched way above their weight class and were lots of fun! We caught many bigger bass up to around 4 pounds! Then we took a picture and safely released the bass! Highly recommended!

Bass were hungry!
Six hour bass fishing trip on Lake Sutton with Captain Shawn of RiverBass TV. Weather was perfect. It was a little cooler than usual for this time of year. There was little to no wind and the lake was flat. We hauled in multiple large bass in the 2 to 3 pound range and a bunch that were on the smaller side. They were all really fun to catch. My son who is 15 had a blast.Captain Shawn is very patient with his customers and gets everybody rigged up and fishing right away. There is algae flourishing in Sutton Lake and got a little bit of algae on our drop shots but nothing that was not manageable. I think the bass like the algae because it gives them some cover. I highly recommend Captain Shawn and River Bass guide service!! We always have a great time!!

6 hour bass fishing guided trip on Lake Sutton….. what a beautiful day and what a beautiful lake ! Captain Shawn of RiverBass guide service got us on the fish early and we caught plenty of nice bass. We caught bass up to around three pounds! Captain Shawn is great with kids and teaches a lot during the fishing trip. The boat is a fast and safe bass boat that gets to the fishing spots quickly so you spend more time catching bass! You can’t go wrong with Captain Shawn and RiverBass guide service!!! Highly recommended!!

This was my second time chartering with Captain Shawn of RiverBass guide service. Very nice and fast bass boat! The first time we caught lots bass in the 1-2 pound range. This trip we caught even more and bigger bass ranging up to 3.5 pounds! We caught around 20 bass altogether! Captain Shawn is a bass tournament pro and knows how to find the best fishing spots. Captain Shawn is great with kids and was very patient with my 15 year old son. We both caught our personal best bass on this trip…..highly recommended!
