Maine Wilderness Fishing invites you to experience the stunning waters of Bangor. With Captain Joseph at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

Fishing around here will often see you targeting Landlocked Atlantic Salmon, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Brook Trout, Northern Pike, Crappie, Yellow Perch, White Perch, Lake Trout, and more if you come at the right time of year.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!

Capt. Joseph welcomes you aboard a 20' Crestliner aluminum fishing boat with room for 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, it will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Must specify if you wish to fly fish so we can bring the necessary gear.

Your trip with Maine Wilderness Fishing is just a click away, so why not make it happen?

My 10 year old son and I went out. We had an absolute blast!! The Captian went so far as explain and demonstrate both a “Texas” and “Carolina” rig setup. We are already looking into an ice fishing trip in February.

Fantastic Fishing
Half Day Trip on June 11, 20262 adults

Great fishing trip! The weather was perfect, and my husband and two teenage boys had a blast. We caught plenty of largemouth bass and a few smallmouth as well. Joseph was a great guide: friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to switch locations and rigs to keep us on the fish. Highly recommend!

Amazing Fishing Experience!
Half Day Trip - 1:00 PM on August 6, 20252 adults

My son and I had an action packed morning of fishing with captain Joe! Our captain was so easy to communicate with, very knowledgeable & helpful. We were on fish right out of the gate and we caught a ton of smallmouth & largemouth bass with several really nice ones. Looking forward to our next fishing trip with Joe when we are back in town.
