Central Charters – FV Bella Vita
Welcome to Central Charters in Homer Alaska, we are family owned since 1982. We offer 1/2 day, 3/4 day & Full day fishing, Wildlife Tours, Beach Front Lodging and Bear viewing!
The Bella Vita is Central Charters' flagship vessel. Custom built by Bay Weld Boats in Homer, it is 32' long 9.5' wide with twin Yamaha 300 outboards. Inside the comfortable heated cabin is ample seating for 6 passengers with large windows for easy viewing of the great scenery. There is a private restroom on board that is accessed from the back deck. The Bella Vita is outfitted with an inflatable life raft, top of the line fishing gear, state of the art electronics and navigation equipment for finding those secret spots where all the fish hide. Your trip on the Bella Vita will be one you'll never forget!
No experience necessary! Our Captain will help you with every aspect of catching fish and having a blast at the same time! Since there is a maximum of 6 clients there is lots of one on one time between yourself and the captain.
The minimum age allowed for the safety of everyone on board is 8 years old. If you have a family with members younger than 8 please call us to talk about booking a private charter for just your group. By booking a private boat the age limit is more flexible.
All the fishing gear, bait & filleting is provided. All you need to bring is your fishing license, food & drink, and rain gear if you have it.
Homer Fish Processing can vacuum seal and freeze your fish after we have filleted it. They can also package it to take back on the plane with you or they can ship it to you after you have arrived home.
To purchase your fishing license visit the ADFG website. After purchasing your license you can print a hard copy or keep a PDF document on your phone. Alaska residents under 18 and non-residents under 16 do not need a fishing license.

We had a phenomenal trip! Captain Jordan was a fantastic guide; knowledgeable, helpful, patient and fun! Boat was fantastic and the view was beautiful. And we all got our over and under limits (half day halibut). We would highly recommend. Roger that Capt!

3/4 Day Trip – Halibut Fishing on July 20, 2025
Jordon was awesome and found us good fish. When the bite slowed down due to tide changes we pulled anchor and moved until we found more fish. He worked hard, played some great music and was very helpful. Great polite young man with a friendly personality. We had a great day.

3/4 Day Trip – Halibut Fishing on August 3, 2025
Jordan was very knowledgeable and did great job of putting us on our halibut targets. He was also very personable and made all of the fishermen and fisherwomen feel excited about our day. Would definitely recommend Jordan and Central Charters.

Jordan got us on the halibut. Limited quick with our good size over and under. Even picked up a couple cod along the way. Fileted everything up for everyone on the boat once we got back. We opted to pack our own since it was only a short jaunt back to Wasilla for us. So far, we have made blackened halibut and fish and chips with plenty to spare still. A nice, easy trip to help fill the freezer!

Captain Jordan treated us to a fine morning on the water. We had big tides during our trip, but our skillful Captain was able to use his knowledge to help the experienced and novice anglers on this trip get the job done.
