Welcome to Central Charters in Homer Alaska, we are family owned since 1982. We offer 1/2 day, 3/4 day & Full day fishing, Wildlife Tours, Beach Front Lodging and Bear viewing!
The Bella Vita is Central Charters' flagship vessel. Custom built by Bay Weld Boats in Homer, it is 32' long 9.5' wide with twin Yamaha 300 outboards. Inside the comfortable heated cabin is ample seating for 6 passengers with large windows for easy viewing of the great scenery. There is a private restroom on board that is accessed from the back deck. The Bella Vita is outfitted with an inflatable life raft, top of the line fishing gear, state of the art electronics and navigation equipment for finding those secret spots where all the fish hide. Your trip on the Bella Vita will be one you'll never forget!
No experience necessary! Our Captain will help you with every aspect of catching fish and having a blast at the same time! Since there is a maximum of 6 clients there is lots of one on one time between yourself and the captain.
The minimum age allowed for the safety of everyone on board is 8 years old. If you have a family with members younger than 8 please call us to talk about booking a private charter for just your group. By booking a private boat the age limit is more flexible.
All the fishing gear, bait & filleting is provided. All you need to bring is your fishing license, food & drink, and rain gear if you have it.
Homer Fish Processing can vacuum seal and freeze your fish after we have filleted it. They can also package it to take back on the plane with you or they can ship it to you after you have arrived home.
To purchase your fishing license visit the ADFG website. After purchasing your license you can print a hard copy or keep a PDF document on your phone. Alaska residents under 18 and non-residents under 16 do not need a fishing license.

We had an amazing halibut fishing experience with Captain Jordan on the Bella Vita today! Everything about this charter was excellent... clean, fast, comfortable boat with a very professional, knowledgeable and good natured Captain that made sure we were on fish and worked hard to ensure that everyone on the boat got their limit. He was amazing and quick to help get everyone's hook baited, fish in, and hook rebaited... even when at one point everyone seemed to have a fish on their line at once. Thank you Captain Jordan and Central Charters!

this was an absolutely amazing experience. I recommend this charter and this boat, particularly to anybody we had a great time. Captain was absolutely amazing. He was by himself, didn’t have a deck hand, and he handled us all professionally quickly, and we all caught our limit. Love it I will be back next year to fish again for sure.

We had an awesome trip on the Bella Vita, with Captain Jordan! We traveled about 24-25 miles out and he put us right on top of the fish. All six of us got our limit of nice Halibut and some of us caught Cod also. We couldn’t of had a better day. We would definitely recommend Central Charters for fishing out of Homer. We will go again if we make it back to Homer.

Awesome boat and captain! We had challenging conditions due to weather however Jordan was able to put us on fish and was very patient helping is limit out on halibut sure our 1/2 day charter. Very knowledgeable captain and super clean boat. We can't wait to come back hopefully with better weather. Jordan is one of the best!

This was the most memorable fishing charter we have done! Everyone on the boat caught their limit. The Captain was extremely knowledgeable about the area and worked tirelessly to ensure everyone on the boat had a great experience!
