H2O Adventures – Halibut and Cod Charter
Make the Most of Your Time in Homer – Go Fishing with H2O Adventures
There's something unforgettable about setting out on Alaskan waters—the mist rising off the bay, eagles overhead, the hum of anticipation as you head toward your first drop. With H2O Adventures, you're not just booking a fishing trip—you're stepping into the heart of what makes Alaska wild, breathtaking, and alive.
Whether you're chasing the powerful pull of a halibut or the acrobatic fight of a silver salmon, this is your chance to experience the raw beauty and thrill that only Alaska can offer. From calm, glacial-fed waters to rugged coastlines, every moment out here is part of the story you'll take home.
We fish with intention—jigging, bottom fishing, trolling with heavy tackle, or even spearfishing for the bold-hearted. Our 36' sportfishing boat, Granite Cape, is fully outfitted for comfort and adventure, with space for six guests, downriggers, a clean marine toilet, and top-quality gear. A helpful first mate will be by your side to make sure your day runs smoothly.
What to Bring:
No need to overthink it—we've got you covered at the Tackle Shack on the Homer Spit, your one-stop shop before hitting the water.
✔ Alaska fishing license
✔ Layered clothing (the weather can shift quickly)
✔ Rain jacket, warm gloves, and a beanie
✔ Snacks, drinks, and anything else to keep you comfortable
✔ Sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water
If you forget something or need gear, just swing by the shop before your trip.
Whether it's your first cast or your hundredth, there's nothing like seeing someone hook their first halibut—or watching a salmon break the surface in a silver flash. It's these moments that stay with you long after you've rinsed the salt off your boots.
We'd love to be part of your Alaska story. Let's go fishing.

Me and my 3 teenage sons had a great time fishing with Shawn for Halibut this past week. Everything was perfect you couldn’t ask for better weather or captain. Shawn made 4 guys from the east coast feel like seasoned Halibut fishermen. Homer and Shawn did not disappoint.
We had a great trip! Got our limit of Halibut, added some cod and a king salmon to the mix!! Shawn is a great captain and we had a great time on his boat!! Would definitely recommend Shawn and H2O adventures for your next fishing adventure!!!
My family had THE best fishing experience to date. Captain Shawn put us on fish. Filled the box and the weather was spectacular. Thinking about booking? It’s a no-brainer
Had a great halibut charter with Captain Shawn and his crew on board the Granite Cape on June 11, 2026. Emma, Lilly and Captain Shawn provided us with an excellent experience and led us to catching 10 halibut and 2 cod. Highly recommend him for your future charters!

Had a blast with you!! Thanks

I was curious how good a three-quarter day halibut boat would be since Berger,’s can’t be choosy since our earlier trip got canceled due to weather. Well, the mission was accomplished, and as expected, the fish were not that big maybe 10 to 20 pounds. But if the goal is just to get Halibut then mission accomplished. If the goal is to get large, Halibut, our plan a full day much much more in advance.
We moved to Alaska 11 years ago with my wife and 4 children chasing adventure and found a deep love for fishing. I spent 7 years on a commercial seiner, learning the rhythm of the sea and the thrill of the catch. Five years ago, we bought a tackle shop—great in its own way, but I missed being out on the water. So I bought the Granite Cape to keep the adventure alive. Now I get to share what I love most: being on the water with my family and helping others experience the excitement of reeling in halibut. There's nothing better.
