If fishing in Puerto Vallarta is on your bucket list, look no further than Little Jade Boat. With Captain Omar at the helm, you’ll be in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
These waters are known for Red Snapper, Cubera Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, African Pompano Jack, Jack Crevalle, Roosterfish, Skipjack, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, and more. With a little luck, they’ll make your reel scream!
During your trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, or trying something more specialized for this area. Captain Omar can also take you kite fishing.
Any fish you catch is yours to keep, as long as it meets regulations. Captain Omar can even clean your catch for you. Now that’s dinner!
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are welcome! Children must wear life vests, so please check if the appropriate sizes are available on board. Snacks are welcome; bring your favorites to keep everyone happy!
You’ll be fishing from a 27-foot Panga with space for 5 passengers. The boat is equipped with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials needed for a great fishing adventure. There is also a toilet on board.
Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided. Live bait is included, but ask about availability and whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be on board to ensure everything runs smoothly. It is customary to tip the Mate 10–20% as appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can arrive and start fishing without hassle. Please keep in mind that some species may have special regulations or limited seasons. Ask Captain Omar for details.
Bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and non-spray sunscreen. Drinks will be available. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but hard liquor is not recommended.

My name is Joe Omar. I grew up by the beach, spending my childhood fishing from the shore. When I turned 14, I started fishing from boats in and around the bay. I know all of Banderas Bay and have a deep connection with its waters. I enjoy meeting new people every day and creating experiences that leave them with great memories of fishing in the bay.
