Fishing Charters Las Terrenas and Captain Eugenio Heer invite you to 'go for the big one' and explore some of the finest sport fishing spots of the Caribbean!

Capt. Eugenio has been a fisherman for as long as he can remember. He used to fish with his father and brother, participating in almost every water sport on various rivers and lakes in Argentina. Fishing is Eugenio's passion and he loves to share it with his guests.

His crew offers a variety of fishing charters that can meet any angler's needs. You will be able to spend your whole day trolling for Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, White Marlin, and Blue Marlin, or check the bite on a half-day excursion. Jack Crevalle, Amberjack, Tuna, Wahoo, and Kingfish are also among the potential targets.

Your boat for the day will be a 34' offshore sport fishing boat, manufactured by Ordoñez and overhauled in 2015. It comes powered by two 115 HP Yamaha engines and outfitted with everything you need for an eventful day on the water that you will remember for months to come.

High-quality rods and reels by Penn International/Senator, Shimano, Dual, and Fin-Nor, will be available for you to use. The trips are all-inclusive – you can feel free to scroll down the page and click the 'Contact Captain' button to get more details.

Don't hesitate to bring your camera with you to show your friends your catch of the day!

Amazing morning! Highly recommend!
3 Hour Trip (MAX 4) on December 6, 20252 adults
We booked the 3 hour morning trip and had the best time! We were picked up from playa Bonita beach at 6.40am and dropped back off right outside our beach residence with plenty of fish which we are going to BBQ tonight! Eugenio was really helpful for us inexperienced fishermen and women, helping us catch the the bigger fish and overall was just a lovely person. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to do some fishing in Las Terrenas.

Great Experience
3 Hour Trip (MAX 4) on February 26, 20262 adults
The captain and guide navigated some choppy water very well. My daughter was able to reel in a barracuda which was a life goal for her. I highly recommend.

Exactly what we were looking for!
3 Hour Trip (MAX 4) on April 6, 20243 adults
We booked a 3 hour fishing trip in Las Terranas with Eugenio. I had let my 10 year old son know we might not catch anything but he caught at least 6 fish, and my 8-yr old daughter reeled in 3 or so. They were small fish about 6-8 inches or so, but colorful and my son loved it. We could have caught more but my daughter got a little sea sick and we headed back. We could always see the shore line but did get out quite far. The captain and first mate were not chatty but were helpful with setting up the poles and bait and even dropped us off to our beach front hotel on the boat! It wasn't a fancy but exactly what we were looking for. Eugenio was great to book with and I would recommend booking with him.

Not what we expected
5 Hour Trip on May 18, 20262 adults
This was the ONE thing we were so excited to do on our trip. We booked this fishing charter, sent a message to the captain through the app with some questions, never heard back. The morning of we woke up at 4am, drove an hour and a half to get to the location, just to find nothing there. The address brings you to a random spot along the beach with no storefront, signs to point you in the right direction, nothing. We walked up and down the street finally finding a building that had fishing marketed on the outside, yet no one was there. We called the phone number on one of the signs which connected us to the owner. He informed us that our captain had lost his phone 3 days prior so he was unaware of this booking. Completely unprofessional. However he did step in to help us out. He showed up within 10 minutes and told us it would be about 30 minutes so he could arrange for us to go out. We agreed. We waited around for more like 45-60 min before everything was ready for us. The boat was smaller than expected. The crew did not speak any english so we could not communicate with them or ask questions. Not their fault, but made it more difficult and took away from the trip. We thought we were going to try multiple types of fishing but the only thing they did was troll the entire time, so we just sat on the boat and watched as they cast the fishing poles. We didn't once get the chance to fish ourselves, learn different techniques, or ask questions. It really took away from the entire experience. Lastly, we booked the 5 hour trip in hopes that giving ourselves more time on the water would increase our chances of catching something. They only took us out for 3 hours, 2.5 hours in they turned the boat around and went straight back, not even trying to fish or hit any of the flagged spots on the way back. Even on the way out, we circled around the flagged spots once. It seems like there was no effort unfortunately. At the end of the day, we did not catch anything or even get any bites. We know thats the gamble with fishing. It was more the way everything unfolded that disappointed us. We hope in the future this fishing charter will cater more to the needs of their paying clients and take tourism more professionally and seriously.

Thank you for your review. I understand your disappointment and appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points. First, you are correct that there was a communication issue. Your booking was made on Sunday for the following morning, and unfortunately I had lost my phone a few days earlier and was unaware of the reservation. Once my business partner learned of the situation, he came to meet you personally and arranged for you to go fishing that same day rather than canceling the trip. Regarding the charter itself, the boat provided was the same vessel advertised in the listing. The trip was also provided at a discounted rate compared to our standard 5-hour charter price on the platform. As for the fishing method, our offshore trips are primarily trolling charters designed to target pelagic species such as mahi-mahi, tuna, wahoo, and marlin. Multiple fishing techniques were never discussed or requested before the trip, so the excursion was conducted according to our standard offshore fishing program. Unfortunately, fishing success can never be guaranteed. Some days the fish are active and some days they are not. While we always work hard to locate productive areas, nature ultimately determines the results. I am sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations. However, I believe it is important to present the facts accurately. Despite the communication issue, we made every effort to accommodate your last-minute booking and get you on the water that day. Thank you for choosing us, and I wish you the best in your future fishing adventures.
