Here at Akwe River Adventures, we pride ourselves on high-quality multi-day guided river trips in the remote bush of Alaska. This isn't your typical elbow-to-elbow Kenai banks fishing trip. We are located 40 miles into the bush from a small town called Yakutat, Alaska. A bush pilot flies you out to the Akwe River, where you'll most likely not see another person the whole trip besides the guides and the ones you came with. Entrenched in the natural beauty of the Tongass National Forest with no distractions, you won't want to leave.
We guide for all five species of Salmon on the river, as well as multiple species of Trout and others. Your guide will take you up and down 10's of miles of the river in a Jet boat in the hunt for your target fish. Your guides have 10+ years of experience guiding on the Akwe River, with an emphasis on the client's success, joy, and safety.
This trip is for the type of person who enjoys a rustic Alaskan bush experience. Our cabins are comfortable with heat, real mattresses, a shower, and all the basic necessities for cooking your meals and taking in the surrounding beauty. Most people choose to stay 3-5 days with us but feel free to reach out so we can customize your trip. Your guides will clean, vacuum pack, freeze and label your catch.
Some wildlife you can hope to encounter on your trip include, Brown bear, black bear, bald eagles, moose, sitka black tailed deer, river otters, beavers, mink, a wide variety of rare bird species, and much more!
Air transportation from Yakutat Airport to the Akwe River is provided by Aero Expeditions. Clients are responsible for booking their flights directly with the air charter company.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 30 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
