Tom is a great guide and put us on fish despite a cold October rain. Made the trip fun, and helped us learn a bit more about fishing walleye on the river this time of year. Would go with him again, and highly recommend him for your next fishing adventure.

Got our limit of walleye and sauger on a fairly windy day. Tom was very helpful, has excellent knowledge of the lake and is a good source of information for the entire area.

Tom did a great job getting us on fish. He worked hard at helping out my 84 year old father and sister. He was very patient. They had a great time. Wish the fish could have been bigger, but we caught and released probably 100 walleyes and saugers in the 3 days we were there. The shore lunch was awesome. Great job Captain Tom. Well worth it.

Captain Tom Briggs is a Minnesota native. When he was 3, Tom moved to Gull Lake in Lakeshore and spent the next three decades exploring the beautiful outdoors of northern Minnesota. He learned about boats and what it took to care for various types of watercraft on the lake. At the age of 12, Tom landed a job at Koep’s bait shop, where he learned the ropes from the likes of big names in the Nisswa Guide League. Together with his lifelong friend Kevin Koep aka Fish Lips, they learned everything about the fishing world. Later, Tom expanded his knowledge base and included Alaska to his fishing repertoire. During the next “phases” of his life, Tom owned a resort and also worked for one of the family businesses before realizing that fishing was his true calling. The rest is history!
