If you're ready to have fun fishing in Fuvahmulah, look no further than Ocean Adventurers Maldives. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Curly is prepared to put you on fish.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Great Barracuda, Bohar Snapper, Coral Trout, Striped Marlin, Wahoo, Giant Trevally, and anything else that bites.
You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Curly also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks!
Your excursion begins aboard a 30' center console with space for 5 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.
Now, come aboard with Ocean Adventurers Maldives and get hooked!
