+118Mighty Fine Charters is an exciting new addition to the Destin harbor. Owned by mother of two Lindley Staples Ward, this charter boat is the result of generations of family fishing and the desire to provide fun, affordable, family fishing trips. As the daughter of Capt. Harold Staples of the charter boat Al-Lin, Lindley is no stranger to the world of charter fishing. The boat is operated by Captain Gavin Ward.
The Mighty Fine is a 50ft. custom Glenn Young Sport Fisherman that is Coast Guard certified to carry up to 14 passengers per trip. The vessel comes equipped with a range of marine technology for both navigation and locating fish. There is plenty of room in the air-conditioned cabin as well as out on the spacious fishing deck. Other amenities on board include a microwave oven and an electric grill.
The Mighty Fine is outfitted with a clean bathroom, comfortable seating both inside and outside, and bunks down below for anyone needing to take a rest. Ice, tackle, licenses, and dead bait are all included in the price.
Your trip will start by stocking up on live bait by stopping near the shore on the way out to the fishing grounds. (When available) Using live bait is preferred by most charter boats out of Destin and tends to add to the overall fishing experience. Plus, it gives you the chance to get your “sea-legs” working.
The fantastic crew aboard the Mighty Fine works hard to give you the perfect trip no matter if it’s deep sea bottom fishing, trolling, exciting shark fishing, or an afternoon family excursion. They welcome all levels of anglers on board from the complete beginners to the advanced fishermen.
The Mighty Fine specializes in family fun and they love taking family groups, church groups, and corporate trips as well as seasoned anglers. I recently had the chance to fish with Mighty Fine Charters, and I was thoroughly impressed. The crew was knowledgeable, experienced, and genuinely enthusiastic about getting us on the fish. We had a great time on the water, and the fishing was top-notch. What really stood out, though, was the professionalism and camaraderie of the crew. Mix experienced fishing trip

My group consisted of 11 people varying from some that have never fished to others that have a lot of deep sea fishing experience. The crew was very accommodating and attentive to both sides of the experience spectrum. No one was left with an empty hook waiting for a new bait or a fish to be removed. I’d like to also note, those that couldn’t get a fish to bite, the shipmates were very quick to give great advice leading to a hook. Although the shipmates said that day was a slow day for catching fish, it seemed like we were constantly reeling in fish. Mighty Fine owner/crew were very easy to work with as well. Our original scheduled date had forecasted bad storms. They approved our request to shift the date one day within minutes of the request. Overall, all 11 people had positive stuff to say, and I would recommend this company for a fun fishing trip.

Excellent day with family
6 Hour Trip (AM) on October 11, 2024
We had a group of 6 including myself, wife, father, mother in law and our two kids ages 7 and 9. These guys took great care of us for a 6 hour trip. We appreciated they suggested to move the trip back a couple hours allow the waves to lay down but being it was the first time for my kids and mother in law. We caught fish all morning and had plenty to bring home. I would definitely recommend these guys and will go out with them again on our next trip. Thank you for helping us make memories with our family.
