Hoping to go fishing in Port Canaveral? Look no further than Coastal Adventures Charters! Your guide for the day is Captain Rick, so you'll benefit from years of angling experience.
Snook, Black Grouper, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Flounder, Tripletail, and more can be found in these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Capt. Rick welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be casting lines from a 22' Sea Fox center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's recommended to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Full Day Trip - Nearshore
Memorable Father’s Day Fishing Trip!
Captain Rick gave us an unforgettable Father’s Day experience out on the water near the Cocoa Beach jetties. The highlight of the day was reeling in a massive flounder—definitely one for the books! We also landed some bluefish and had plenty of action with juvenile mutton snapper and sheepshead, although we had to toss those back due to size. The real thrill came when we hooked a shark that took us on a wild ride before it finally snapped the line—an adrenaline rush we won’t forget anytime soon! Captain Rick was knowledgeable, patient, and kept us right on the fish. Highly recommend if you're looking for a solid day on the water with great company and even better fishing.

Highly Reccomend
Rick was an incredible guide! He knew right where to take us to be directly over the fish. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. We caught sharks, lizard fish, and several snappers. Three of the snappers we were able to take home, and Rick even cleaned them all for us. He helped us bait and cast, because we definitely did not know what we were doing. He was very flexible with our timing of when to meet and stayed out with us until we were ready to head back. I think he would have stayed longer if we had wanted to. He offered Dramamine and water, and has a cooler on the boat for your personal drinks/snacks. We all felt very comfortable with his abilities. Honestly a 10/10 experience. Thank you, Rick! We will never forget it!

Half Day Trip – Nearshore
Fantastic trip
Captain Cleveland did exactly what we requested. I didn’t care what fish we caught, so my daughters and I were able to put some fish in the boat, then explored some other spots where we caught some different types of fish. He was quick to fix the rods when we broke line, and kept the bait on hooks and in the water. Very personable captain, answered a bunch of questions, could be part tour guide for these waters. Thanks captain!

Full Day Trip – Offshore
Awesome time, lots of fish!
We took off at 7am sharp and did a combination of trolling and deep drops. We caught our limit of lane snapper, got some mangrove snappers, tons of red snapper (that we had to send back) and 4 mahi, including a big bull. Almost had a 5th. We also caught a bunch of other stuff that was fun, but not good eating, so sent it back. Captain Rick was friendly, accommodating, and loves his job. I would recommend him for your future chartering needs for sure.

Book with a captain who knows where the fish are!
Captain Rick was very upfront about what was biting before I booked the trip, which was a primary reason that I booked with him. He made every effort to put us on the fish—my two boys and I had a great time catching snapper nearshore, and Captain Rick went above and beyond to troll for some larger species at the end of our trip—his efforts were much appreciated! Finally, Captain Rick filleted our catch so we could enjoy it that evening! Will definitely book him again for our next fishing adventure!
