Snook, Black Grouper, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Flounder, Tripletail, and more can be found in these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Capt. Rick welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be casting lines from a 22' Sea Fox center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's recommended to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Full Day Trip – Offshore on May 18, 2025 • 2 adultsWe took off at 7am sharp and did a combination of trolling and deep drops. We caught our limit of lane snapper, got some mangrove snappers, tons of red snapper (that we had to send back) and 4 mahi, including a big bull. Almost had a 5th. We also caught a bunch of other stuff that was fun, but not good eating, so sent it back. Captain Rick was friendly, accommodating, and loves his job. I would recommend him for your future chartering needs for sure.

He made every effort to put us on the fish—my two boys and I had a great time catching snapper nearshore, and Captain Rick went above and beyond to troll for some larger species at the end of our trip—his efforts were much appreciated! Finally, Captain Rick filleted our catch so we could enjoy it that evening! Will definitely book him again for our next fishing adventure!

We loved our first family fishing experience with Captain Rick, who is a great guy! Not only did he take good care of us, but he charismatically made this experience a magical moment for our 3-year-old. Days have passed and our little boy is still talking about Captain Rick! We have managed to catch different types of fish and the boat ride is extraordinary. We highly recommend it if you are passing through here 👌✨️
My son and I requested a last minute trip and super thankful Captain Rick took us out. We stayed inshore and targeted redfish, trout and snook in the mangroves. Used live shrimp for bait and he was super attentive to being sure we had everything we needed throughout the trip. Brought over a dozen fish to the boat including good size trout and a memorable redfish. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Awesome experience.
