Spend the day with Reel Lucky Fishing Charters and see what's biting in Merritt Island! Having logged many hours on these waters, Captain Cody is prepared to put you on fish.
Species like Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Black Drum, Tarpon, Ladyfish, Sheepshead, Redfish, Cobia, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Speckled Trout, Tripletail, Jack Crevalle, and more could be biting, depending on conditions. On these trips, you can expect to catch.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 22' Scout bay boat with room for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Capt. Cody will supply too of the line rods and reels for you. Live bait is also provided.

The reality fell short of expectation, but perhaps that is on me. I knew my guest loved fishing so decided to dedicate a day to his passion. I felt the best way to ensure success was by booking a boat and captain who had the knowledge and experience to make that happen. It didn’t. But not for lack of trying. The captain had the equipment and experience needed but perhaps my expectation of success was not realistic because the only person who hooked a fish was him. I got to reel it in but that was it. My guest caught nothing. So disappointed, yes. But that’s on me.

I know it wasn’t the kind of day we were hoping for numbers wise, and I completely understand that catching only one fish isn’t what anyone has in mind when they book a trip. That said, I really appreciated your positive attitude and the effort both you and your guest put in. Fishing can be unpredictable at times, and while we worked hard to find them, some days just don’t line up the way we want. I always give 110% to put my clients on fish, and I truly value the trust you placed in me. If you’d ever like to come back and give it another shot, I’d be more than happy to have you out again and work to make the next trip even better.

This was by far the best fishing experience me or my son has ever had!! Booking the trip was super easy and convenient. My son was a little nervous but Cody made him feel at ease. He took his time explaining things to my 11 year old son how to put on bait and cast. My son caught not only 1 fish but multiple!! I've never seen my little boy so excited to go fishing!! We had an absolute blast!!!!! He made us feel so comfortable and we had such a great time that we will definitely be coming back again!! I highly recommend if your looking to catch fish and have fun!!!!!!

You can tell he truly loves what he does—his passion for fishing and making sure everyone has a great experience really shows. We were on the fish in no time, and he went above and beyond to make the trip unforgettable. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just looking to have fun, Capt. Cody is the one you want at the helm. Highly recommend—can’t wait to book another trip!

Best day on the water

Went out with Cody at Reel Lucky Fishing Charters and had a fantastic day on the water! Cody is super kind, hilarious, and he also really knows his stuff. Took us straight to the hotspots and we were pulling in fish like crazy. You can tell he loves what he does and wants everyone to have a great time. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just having fun, Cody makes it easy, relaxed, and exciting. Highly recommend I’ll definitely be going again!

Half day trip with Captain Cody

Captain Cody took me and my cousins out, showed us a great time and taught us a lot. Between the 3 of us we caught about 10 fish. We’d been out on other charters in the past and it was nothing like this. He was very knowledgeable and extremely experienced, meeting each of us at our skill level and helping us all to feel very confident and relaxed the whole time. Definitely recommend the experience 100%, Cody was super cool and personable.
