Over the years he’s won numerous tournaments and also holds six world records that are still unbroken.Gaining popularity in Florida as a captain has led him to appear in multiple television shows, including Captains Tales, Sportsman Adventures with Capt.Rick Murphy, Real Animals with Capt.Mike Anderson and most recently with Capt. Great experience with Capt Mike! We got on the water early. The water was pretty choppy first thing and calmed down by noon. I let the rest of the family sleep in; otherwise, we would had a bunch of sea sick kids. We didn’t have any luck catching some early morning black fin. We caught several bonitas. We moved to bottom fishing about ten miles out. Capt Mike put me on fish right away. We brought home some nice grouper, a triggerfish, and snapper. I would absolutely recommend Capt Mike for your next fishing experience.
We booked a half day fishing trip with Captain Michael for 6 people on his 35 foot boat. We had an excellent time with him. He was very knowledgeable about how and where to find the best fish. We took 3 adults and 3 kids/teens We all left saying we cant wait to go fishing with him again.
Captain Mike was incredible! He worked quick to put us in fish and we succeeded! We caught roughly 100 fish in about 4 hours of fishing including snapper and grouper. Captain Mike and his knowledge were awesome as he truly cares that you have a great experience! I'd recommend this trip for anyone, as I believe Captain Mike is the best for the Destin area!
My family and I had an exceptional private fishing charter with Captain Mike Avinon this week. His professionalism, friendly demeanor, and deep knowledge of the Gulf were evident from the start. Captain Mike is a true expert at finding fish, making our trip both successful and enjoyable. This was, without a doubt, the best Gulf fishing charter I have ever taken. Michael navigated storms excellently. He found great spots where we caught fish quickly. Lots of knowledge. Great support to help out our amateur fishing skills.
