If you're ready to love fishing in Winchester Bay, book a trip with Mark LaDuke Guide Service. With Captain Mark at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Fish like Lingcod, Halibut, Rockfish, Crab, Salmon, Albacore Tuna, and more are in the cards, depending on conditions. During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your trip begins aboard a 24' Hewescraft aluminum fishing boat with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, it will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Mark LaDuke Guide Service!

I grew up fishing the Umpqua River and local lakes as a kid. I started fishing the ocean at 20 years old started running a Bayliner trophy out taking friends and family. I fished the ocean for about 22 before becoming a professional guide. I like meeting new people talking to them and teaching them how to fish
River Fishing
During salmon season we will troll the bay and up the main Umpqua for salmon when we can't get out in the ocean.
Inshore Fishing
Nearshore Fishing
Offshore Fishing
Most of the trips for rock fish and salmon we stay within about 10 miles or closer. For halibut we are about 29 miles off shore. How far we run for tuna will depend on the warm water current but not more than 50 miles
