Trouble Hook Charters is here to show you the stunning waters of the Walleye Capital of the world on Lake Erie. Captain Brent will be your guide, so you'll benefit from years of professional experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Yellow Perch, Walleye, and whatever else takes the bait. During the trip you might be trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! We have child-sized life vests on board. Don't forget to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized! Please limit coolers to no more than (2) 14" size.
You'll be dropping lines from a 27' Sport-Craft with capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 15-20% tip.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, hard liquor is permitted but must be contained in a plastic bottle and must be mixed in a close-able cup.

The crew knows how to keep the boat steady and avoid the waves. They worked very hard to keep us on the fish. We caught great walleye along with some other fish that took the bait. We had a lot of action all day. We will be going with trouble hook charts again We will also recommend them to anyone who wants a great fishing trip.

Buddy of mine and I threw together a last minute walleye charter, so first, we were glad he accepted the trip, but secondly, not only did we have a great time catching fish after fish, but these are also great individuals to be on a boat several miles into Lake Erie with. Highly recommend.
Captain Brent and Jason were phenomenal. Well organized with gear, boat and equipment. They put us on nice walleye within minutes of leaving the dock and we had our limit within a few hours. They even shared local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We will definitely book them again.
