Make the most of your time in Big Pine Key with an unforgettable fishing adventure aboard Florida Keys Island Fishing Charters! Led by seasoned local guide Captain Tony, this family-run charter offers the perfect blend of excitement, expertise, and island hospitality.
Step aboard our 24' Aquasport Tournament Series center console, powered by a 300HP Suzuki engine and built for comfort, safety, and performance. The boat is equipped with cushioned seating, a shaded canopy (available on request), Simrad GPS and Fishfinder, Bluetooth stereo, a live bait well, plenty of rod holders, and an under-deck fish box to keep your catch fresh. Whether you're an experienced angler or trying fishing for the first time, this boat is ready for action!
Depending on the season and conditions, you'll have the opportunity to catch species like Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Great Barracuda, Cero Mackerel, Skipjack, Cobia, Tarpon, Black Grouper, Red Grouper, African Pompano, Mahi Mahi, Bull Shark, and many more. You'll use proven techniques like spinning, jigging, trolling, bottom fishing, drift fishing, or cast and retrieve, with Captain Tony offering expert guidance along the way.
This charter is kid-friendly, family-friendly, and beginner-approved—and we love seeing young anglers light up when they reel in their first fish! Please let us know if you'll need a child-size life vest. You're welcome to bring your own snacks and sunscreen. We'll provide cold water in the onboard cooler, all gear, bait, tackle, and fishing licenses.
You can even bring beer (in cans only)—just no hard liquor or glass bottles. While some fish species may have seasonal regulations or size limits, Captain Tony will help you understand what's in season and what you can keep.

Amazing experience with an unexpected outcome!
3 Hour Trip – Backcountry (AM) on April 9, 2026 • 3 adults • 1 child
We went on the fishing trip to catch some decent size fish. The experience was predominantly for our boys, 12 and 15. Our 15 year old was hoping to catch some good fish. The boys did catch a variety of fish. But…. Long story short, one of the bigger fish our son caught got bitten off the rod- with only the head left. Captain Tony set up a rail for a shark using that head as the bait and our boy ended catching a 7 ft shark! Captain Tony was amazing, he was guiding our son and steering the boat so that he can get the shark to the top. He spent extra time with us because of that, and at no time he pressured to go back. In fact he encouraged our son to keep going. I would definitely recommend Captain Tony and if we are ever back in the Keys, we will be booking another trip.

It was truly an amazing experience sharing the incredible fishery the Florida Keys has to offer with you and your family. I’m especially glad we were able to land that shark for your son—he did a fantastic job, especially considering we were fighting a 175+ pound shark on 40 lb braid!

Great family trip.

Capt Tony took my family and I out for a morning bridge trip. We had a great time. My family wasn’t as enthusiastic about the trip as I was, but Tony did an exceptional job at keeping them interested and entertained while out on the water. The boat was perfect for the four of us and we all fit comfortably. We caught some fish and saw a lot of action. Tony was a great Captain and I really enjoyed going out with him. I would absolutely recommend him and would book him again on my next trip south.

Florida Keys Island Fishing is hands down the best fishing charter in the Keys! Captain Tony creates an experience that’s not just fun—but truly unforgettable. He’s fantastic with kids, patiently teaching them how to hook bait, cast properly, and reel in their catches. It’s more than just a fishing trip—it’s a hands-on education that my whole family loved.
While they were busy reeling in fish after fish, I got to relax in the back of the boat, lounging comfortably under the canopy and soaking in the peaceful beauty of the Florida Keys. It was the perfect balance of adventure and serenity.
We also asked Captain Tony for a scenic cruise, and he took us to explore the islands, bridges, and even out to the stunning Sombrero Lighthouse. Every moment was magical. This trip exceeded all expectations—highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone looking to experience the Keys from the water!

Highlight from our trip to the Keys.
Sunset cruise on April 8, 2026 • 2 adults
Captain Tony took us around no name key and then to catch a few fish at the broken bridge as we watcher the sunset. He was a great guide, and helped us learn about the area and how to fish it. Captain Tony was very accommodating, taking pictures of us, baiting our lines, and sending us home with fresh filets of fish on ice. Next time we are in the Keys, we will for sure book another trip.
