LuredOut Guide Service
LuredOut Guide Service invites you to experience the stunning waters of Port O'Connor. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Wes can tell you all about them.
These waters are known for Black Drum, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Mangrove Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Spotted Seatrout, Tarpon, Redfish, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before 'Fish on!' On these trips, it's common to drift and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your boat for the day is a 25' center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Wes has rods and reels for you.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We had a great time and caught some great fish!

Captain Wess worked his tail off to get us on fish! Ended up catching a wide assortment of fish from trout, reds, and the kids loved catching sharks! Great trip we highly recommend!
Captain Wes was fantastic. We caught huge fish all day. He made the day a breeze and kept us on fish the whole time. 10/10. Will definitely be back and book again with him!

Thanks Kieley! Was great fishing with your group. Glad you enjoyed your trip. Hope to see you again soon.
Port O'Connor, Texas, United States
I was born and raised along the Texas Gulf Coast. After graduating from Angleton High School, I joined the USAF and was assigned to Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo TX. After serving 4 years, I went to work for the City of San Angelo, where I spent the next 23 years, often returning to the coast to fish, with Port O'Connor being my primary spot. I retired 23 years later, in 2015, and moved to Port O'Connor, and started up LuredOut Guide Service. Ive been a full time guide here every since. I specialize in artificial bait fishing, but the main goal is to ensure my clients have an enjoyable experience and catch fish.
