Book your next trip with Freedom Tours and find out what makes the fishing in San Pedro so unique. With Captain Hillyboo at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Great Barracuda, Cero Mackerel, Black Grouper, Skipjack, Horse-eye Jack, Jack Crevalle, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Cubera Snapper, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, and more. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Children are welcome, so get 'em offline and onto the water! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks!
Your excursion begins aboard the Miss Carla, a 25' Panga with capacity for 6 passengers. It has a fighting chair, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.
Now's the time to experience fishing in San Pedro for yourself, with Freedom Tours!
