Make the most of your time in Panama City and go fishing with Maxed Out Guide Fishing. Captain Maximillian will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from 20 years of local experience.
Around here the fishing is popular for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Red Snapper, Red Grouper, Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper, Tarpon, Amberjack, Cobia, Gag Grouper, Bull Shark, and more if conditions allow. On these trips, it's common sight fish and to bottom fish using light tackle. Capt. Maximillian also offers fly fishing.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be fishing aboard a 22' Cape Horn center console with space for 5 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed.

Limit catches, Great memories, and an Outstanding Captain!
4 Hour Trip – Offshore on April 9, 2026 • 2 adults • 2 children
We had an incredible fishing trip with Captain Max and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we got on the water, it was clear how knowledgeable
and confident he was even though no one else seemed to be out fishing that day, Captain Max knew exactly where the fish were. He put us on fish right away.
We quickly caught our limit of Black Drum and Redfish, and then went on to catch Speckled Trout as well. The action was nonstop.
We’ve been on several guided fishing trips before, and this one was by far the most memorable. My two sons were on this trip and Captain Max was incredibly patient and great with them. You can genuinely tell that he loves what he does, and that passion shows in how he runs his trips and interacts with his guests.
Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back!

Look no further than Captin Max!
4 Hour Trip – Offshore (AM) on April 3, 2026 • 2 adults
We signed up for the offshore trip and boy it did not dissapoint. We headed right out to the big water in hopes to beat the wind and waves for a couple hours. Captin Max put us right on the fish immediately. Within the first hour we had our 3 man limit of Beeliner! We quickly switched out gear and decided to target Red Grouper. Once again we were in the fish within minutes. Pulling up 10 or so in a very short amount of time. At this point we had to head back inland due to hard winds and heavy surf. We made it back into the bay with an hour to spare. So Captin Max set us up with trolling gear to target Spanish Mackerel. By the end of our morning we had enough Mackerel for a 2 man limit!
We couldnt be happier with our choice of Charter. Captin Max is super knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be around.
Highly recommend to anyone at any skill level. Looking forward to doing this again!

Great trip, good with kids

Had a great trip out with Max. my son (12yr) and I went out for the offshore 4 hr trip. Max was fun, helpful and made the trip a really fun experience for us. Highly recommend, great with kids. Understood our priority on keeping kiddo engaged with more catches rather than long waits hoping to hook a big one, and adapted accordingly. Max took us to a few spots as well as some closer to shore, and we had a great time. Caught red snapper, Squirrelfish, Sheephead, Triggerfish and others. Great time and would recommend anytime, especially if you have kids with you.

Amazing experience catching spanish mackerel with captain Max. Max has been fishing his whole life and his experience really shined for the crew today as we were very successful. Max was a great captain and kept us engaged the whole time. We were able to keep 11 mackerel and we grilled them up today and they were absolutely delcious. We chose the 3 hour trip and the ride out in the morning was stunning. This is a great charter for all ages and anglers, 10/10 recommend!

GREAT day for fishing

Wasn’t too sure what to expect as this was our 1st chartered fishing trip but when we met Captain Max, we knew it was going to be great no matter what. Max was amazing start to finish and really helped the boys come out of their “shell”. He was very knowledgeable of where the fish were and what to do to make the experience so much fun! They boys caught their limit in 2 hours so the last hour was catch and release. HIGHLY recommend Maxed Out Guide Fishing with Captain Max!!!!!!!!
