Spend the day with Salty Reels Fishing and get hooked on fishing in North Topsail Beach!

These waters are known for Amberjack, Skipjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Redfish, Black Seabass, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Gray Triggerfish, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few! You'll target your catch by popping, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Trips with Salty Reels Fishing are kid-friendly, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to keep their stamina going!

Your vessel for the day is a 24' Pro-Line center console with room for 6 passengers. It has downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.

3/4 Day Trip – Offshore on November 1, 2025 • 4 adults

From booking the reservation to the delivery, yes they delivered our incresible catch of the day, excluding the Shark the boys pulled in, to our location after a fantastic day on the water. Started out the day a little chilly, was close to being a loonng day on the boat , cold, but the weather panned out, water was fairly smooth and if I haven’t mentioned the Been Bags, made the ride so easy. 2 of us were on the Ocean for the first time and felt safe the entire time, fell asleep on the ride in! The Bags were a hit! Captain Brian and his Mate Zack are entertaing for sure but their knowledge of their craft, of the fish, the stories.!! To say the least we will be booking with these guys for next year! Tony, Deborah Joel,Lesli 😊

Went on a offshore fishing trip with Captain Brian and first mate Zach on tuesday October 21st Boat and gear where perfect for tge species targeted. The crew spelled out expectations ahead of time so we know what to expect. caught a great variety and high quality of fish. The captain never stopped moving around to find fish or active fish and better quality fish. took time to point out the local wildlife to us. dolphins. turtles and talk about the area. both captain and mate are very knowledgeable and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we where comfortable and happy. Thanks again Captain Brian and mate Zach. had a excellent day on the water with both of you.

This was our first time fishing with Captain Brian and it was my kids’ first fishing charter. We got a little unlucky with the choppiness of the ocean but we all had an amazing time and we can’t get to do it again when we’re in town next year. Huge shout out to Captain Brian but also Zach, the first mate. He was awesome with my 12yr old son the whole trip. Thanks again guys!!
