If you're ready to love fishing in Cabo San Lucas, look no further than El Peleador 1.
Amberjack, Black Marlin, Yellowtail Amberjack, Striped Marlin, Cubera Snapper, Sailfish, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Sierra Mackerel, Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Carlito can also show you kite fishing.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your boat for the day is a 28' California sportfishing boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with El Peleador 1!
