Captain Morgan Charters – Inshore

Book your next trip with Captain Morgan Charters and find out what the fishing in Venice is all about. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain David knows them forwards and back.
These waters hold game fish like Black Drum, Cobia, Flounder, Redfish, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Speckled Trout, and more if conditions allow. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. David also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your boat for the day is a 26' Reno Boat Works runabout with space for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Captain Morgan Charters!

Captain David Morgan started his fishing career over 35 years ago, exploring these waters for food and fun. He has been running charters for more than a decade, taking groups offshore for their own angling adventures. His favorite part of the job is the smile that comes to any angler's face when they land a monster. He's a happy man then, with the huge fish he gets groups on every day!
