If you're ready to love fishing in Fajardo, we've got you covered with Yacht Club Puerto Rico East. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Elliot is prepared to put you on fish.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Vermilion Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Yellowfin Grouper, White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Caribbean Queen Snapper, and plenty more. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your boat for the day is a 38' Contender center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Yacht Club Puerto Rico East!
