Spend the day with 10K Adventures and find out what the fishing south of Naples is all about! Having logged thousands of days on many bodies of water and boats from 10-150', Captain Kevin will get you to the fishing grounds and back safely and without incident.
There are no guarantees in fishing, but just some of the species you can catch in the 10K Islands/Gulf of America include Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, Goliath Grouper, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Pompano, Jack Crevalle, Blacktip Shark, Bull Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Permit, and more.
You'll target your catch by spinning gear on mainly light tackle, or maybe something more specialized if bigger fare is encountered. You're free to bring home most of the legal fish you catch, he'll even clean and bag them for you. Heck if you're lucky he may share a recipe or two!
Your day begins aboard a well-appointed 18' flats boat that holds up to 2 passengers plus the captain. Keeping the trip to two anglers will allow for plenty of space for everyone!
Rods, reels, tackle, bait and licenses are included. Live bait will be used when available, Captain may have to add a little time to the trip so he can catch fresh bait for your trip on the fly. Some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons, if you don't know what to expect, ask the Captain.
Bottled water will be available, but some other essentials to bring are sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray) and a snack. A couple beers is cool but please don't plan on getting coming to get smashed. Cans/plastic bottles only please.
Fishing is only part of the Ten Thousand Adventures, ask about customized trips for site-seeing, island-hopping, shelling, exploring, birding or photography trips.
Please note that Port of the Islands sits in the Ten Thousand Islands and has a 3 mile 'No-Wake Zone' to protect the many local manatees and will add about an hour round trip to the trip time.

We booked a fishing charter knowing the conditions weren’t ideal—low tide and murky water made for tougher fishing than usual. Even so, the captain made the most of it and worked hard to put us on fish throughout the trip. Despite the conditions, we ended up with a solid mix of catches, including jacks, a few sea trout, and a handful of mangrove snapper. The catfish were definitely out in full force early on, but once the captain gave us some guidance to move the jigs a bit faster, it made a noticeable difference and helped cut down on the unwanted bites. Overall, while the tide worked against us, the captain’s experience and ability to adapt turned it into a successful and enjoyable day on the water.

Fished with Captain Bell on 8/5/25. Right off I tied his hands by having to stay in and around the backwater because my grandson gets seasick in more open water. Captain Bell did not surger coat the fact that fishing inside would be tough as water temps were mid 90s. But I can say I’ve never fished with a harder working Captain. He worked his butt off to make sure he gave us every chance to catch a few fish. He stayed positive and kept a smile on his face and was a pleasure to fish with. Evan though the fishing was slow we did manage several species including a Goliath grouper ( a bucket list fish for me). The Captain covered close to 40 miles looking fish for us and we got to see some of the beautiful 10k islands. I’ve already started planning my next trip with 10K adventures.
I made some awesome memories today! Captain Kevin was an awesome guide, his knowledge for the region, where to fish and how to fish was a 10. I learned how to fish in several different ways that I never dreamed exsisted. He really tried hard to “get on” the fish. Although I didnt catch anything to take home, I did catch a four foot and a 7 foot bull shark which was totally unexpected but made for some Awesome memories! I would definitely recommend Cap. Kevin and if I am ever back in the 10 k Islands area I will absolutely use him again!

Great to meet you Ben! Thanks for the kind words!
My brother-in-law and I had an exceptional day on the water with Captain Kevin Bell. Kevin worked hard to make sure we caught plenty of fish out in the Gulf and inland waters. We saw a variety of wildlife including birds, spinner sharks, rays, sea turtles and dolphins swimming with our boat. we probably passed 9 thousand of the 10 thousand islands traveling the waters which was amazing. We look forward to our next adventure with such a knowledgeable and fun guide.

Thanks for the kind words sir! was an absolute pleasure having y’all out and hope we get to do it again!

Kevin is very knowledgeable about not just fishing but much if the land forms/structures, tides, bait, history on natives, and many birds along the fishing trip. Landed some trophy sized salt water trout, with expert advise from kevin. Definitely will be coming back for another trip!

Thanks Ben it was great getting you and Jackie out in the 10K Islands! I appreciate the kind words and hope to see you again!
