You’ll explore the beautiful and remote stretches of the Nga River in northern Thailand, including secret fishing spots known only to locals. Some fishing areas are challenging to reach on foot, so this trip is best for guests who enjoy a bit of adventure. Some locations may not be suitable for small children – please consult with your guide beforehand.

Fly fishing is the main technique used here, but spinning, bottom fishing, and other methods may also be used depending on the spot and guide’s recommendation.

You should bring your own rod and bait. If you don’t have gear, rentals may be arranged in advance – just contact Patcharadanai before your trip.

Local game fish in these waters include Jungle Perch (Hampala), Mahseer, and other native freshwater species.

You are welcome to keep fish that meet legal size and bag limits.

Trips are for groups of up to 5 people. Reaching the fishing locations involves walking through forested or hilly terrain, so be sure to dress appropriately and pack light.

The meeting point is at Rak Nam Nga Coffee Shop, Ban Sob Khong Village, where you can also buy your lunch before heading to the fishing area. You’ll need to carry your own food and snacks, though the guide may offer some light refreshments.
