Rooster's Guide Service is all about fishing the stunning waters of Lake Texoma. Your guide for the day is Captain Mark, which means you'll tap into years of local experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Striped Bass, Catfish, and anything else that bites. You'll target your catch by spinning, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your boat for the day is a 24' Blazer Bay center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Capt. Mark has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait will also be provided.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is also allowed

Half Day Trip (AM) on July 19, 2026 • 3 adultsWe were not planning on a Stryper trip, and when we decided that we are going to have a fish fry and needed some fillets, I went about trying to find a guide service that was not already booked for the weekend, which was near impossible. I came to look on the Fishing Booker App and found Mark Bannisters guide service. He happened to have just a a cancelation for the following morning so I booked a 4 hour morning trip for 3 with Mark. I told him we were mainly looking to get fillets and he put us on them quick. We all had our limit in 2 hours. Mark is great guy who has alot of experience guiding and fishing on Lake Texoma. He took care of everything, we just had to show up. His fish cleaning skills are top notch. I would highly recommend his guide service . Thanks Mark for a great day!

Half Day Trip (AM) on July 5, 2025What a blast! We had the best time striper fishing on Lake Texoma with Mark. Not only did we reel in some solid-sized stripers (seriously, some big ones!), but Mark made the whole trip fun from start to finish. He was awesome with my daughter—patient, funny, and made sure she felt like part of the crew. Great guide, great vibes, and great fish. We’ll definitely be back for round two!

Mark was knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about what he does. He put us right on the fish and made sure everyone had a great time. The boat and equipment were top-notch, and the scenery alone was worth the trip. I can’t recommend Mark enough—already planning our next outing!

Overall this was a great trip, having a passionate and knowledgeable captain who will put you on fish made it easy for everybody to hit their limit in right around 2 hours. I will be back for another trip
Capt Mark was great! A cold front rolled in the day before our trip and capt was in constant communication regarding the weather and trip start time. At his discretion we moved the start time back to later in the day to let things warm up for the kids, which was a great call. He worked hard to put us on fish in the tough conditions, and we got the job done! The kids had a wonderful time and we will be coming back for sure.
y’all were a fun group!! i’m glab we waited and let it warm up but the kids were definitely troopers. they made us work for them and cover some territory for sure. looking forward to the next trip!!
