Rooster's Guide Service is all about fishing the stunning waters of Lake Texoma. Your guide for the day is Captain Mark, which means you'll tap into years of local experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Striped Bass, Catfish, and anything else that bites. You'll target your catch by spinning, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your boat for the day is a 24' Blazer Bay center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Capt. Mark has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait will also be provided.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is also allowed

Now, if you ever find yourself on Lake Texoma and you want to catch fish like a pro, you need Mark. I swear he knows every underwater nook, cranny, and fish hangout like he’s got a GPS chip in his brain. He can tell you what bait to use based on the wind direction, moon phase, and whether your socks match. He’s like a fishing encyclopedia with a Southern drawl and a tackle box that looks like it belongs in a museum. Stripers, catfish, crappie—you name it, Mark knows where they are, what they’re hungry for, and how to make them practically jump into your boat out of respect.
Capt Mark was great! A cold front rolled in the day before our trip and capt was in constant communication regarding the weather and trip start time. At his discretion we moved the start time back to later in the day to let things warm up for the kids, which was a great call. He worked hard to put us on fish in the tough conditions, and we got the job done! The kids had a wonderful time and we will be coming back for sure.
y’all were a fun group!! i’m glab we waited and let it warm up but the kids were definitely troopers. they made us work for them and cover some territory for sure. looking forward to the next trip!!

What a blast! We had the best time striper fishing on Lake Texoma with Mark. Not only did we reel in some solid-sized stripers (seriously, some big ones!), but Mark made the whole trip fun from start to finish. He was awesome with my daughter—patient, funny, and made sure she felt like part of the crew. Great guide, great vibes, and great fish. We’ll definitely be back for round two!
I’ve fished with many guides on texoma but captain is the best!!! He won’t stop until you have a cooler full of fish. His boat and equipment is top notch!! I’ll only book with mark from now on
