Southern Guide Services is all about fishing the stunning waters of Freeport. Your guide for the day is Captain Jacob, so you'll benefit from years of professional experience.
These waters are known for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Jack Crevalle, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, Black Drum, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some. On the day of your trip you're likely to bottom fish using light tackle.
Your boat for the day is a 22' Express H22 Center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter. Live bait is available.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We then transitioned to another spot to target some other species and caught some giant black drum. In between catching the drum, we hooked up with a few other species that, a few of which, surprised us. We had a shark bite through a net , saw Osprey and had a great time just shooting the breeze. Great morningbon the water, highly recommend.

We caught several puppy fish, a stingray and few other shallow water fish. I would highly recommend. We do a couple charter trips a year and this trip ranked right at the top. This trip would be enjoyed by newcomers to fishing as well as seasoned old geasers like myself. Highly Recommend.
