Spend the day with Reel Job and find out what the fishing in Niceville/Destin is all about! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Heath can tell you all about them.

Depending on the season and weather conditions you might hook into Red Drum, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, Cubera Snapper, Black Grouper, Red Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Cobia, Trigger Fish and anything else that bites. On these trips, you can expect to sight fish, bottom fish and/or troll using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Heath can also take you Flounder gigging, snorkeling, sand bar chilling or boat bar hopping.

Reel Job welcomes kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks to keep up those energy levels!

You'll be welcome aboard a Contender 25 Bay center console with room for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

Don't forget to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed, just be sure to avoid glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.

Fish and trip of a lifetime!!

8 Hour Trip – Offshore on January 2, 2026 • 6 adults

Captain Heath took myself, my wife, and the boys out December 31st without hesitation!! 22 degrees didn’t stop us from wrangling in a 34 1/2” red grouper that gave me a fight and story that is unparalleled in my experiences of angling fish! Myself, my son, and his 3 closest friends (16 year olds), all caught pigs. One of the boys(Landon) caught a porky snapper that was over 36”!! Heath, thank you for sharing in what amounts to be a cornerstone in these young men’s growth and life! They’ll be talking about this fish story for decades to come! Renita says thank you too even though she was under 5 layers of clothing and a water proof blanket..what a trooper!!!! Definitely going to mount my Grouper!

Nighttime Offshore Action!

Special 4 hour trip for Taylor Harbin on September 5, 2025 • 1 adult

Heath Howle went above and beyond to show me a good time. He accommodated me with a night trip offshore even though it wasn’t in his advertised openings. We left a few minutes before 5pm and by 530 we were fishing around a wake board we found floating that had attracted some dolphin fish and his personal favorite to eat: unicorn/filefish. Taught me how to spear them, which was a great new skill. The bite changed dramatically after the sun went down. Every place was cursed with schools of saltwater catfish. I caught six in a row before finally hooking a different species: Ruby red lips. I told him if I ever have a seaworthy boat I’m naming it the Salty Cat. I just name my freshwater Bass Raider Salty Cat, because why not? We had a great conversation talking about his business, common obstacles and misconceptions, as well as getting to know each other on a more personal basis. He was very open to trying new things if I had a suggestion. When we met a school of squid he caught one or two (not easy with just a bait net) for our lines. I was deeply touched that he offered to extend our trip because he wanted every chance of us catching a big red snapper or grouper. I’m still sore and stiff and groggy but it was worth it! A 25’ boat may seem small to be twenty miles offshore but the weather was perfect and I never felt Heath was unsafe or reckless. I’d heartily recommend him to anyone interested in plenty of action as well as some good keepers.

Great fishing experience in spite of challenging weather

6 Hour Trip – Offshore on August 30, 2025 • 6 adults

We booked on a 6 hr charter with Heath for Sat but the forecast was thundershowers on both Sat and Sun. Heath was very patient with me as I tried to figure out the best day for us to go. Eventually, we went on Sat afternoon rather than morning. But we still got some weather so Heath took us nearshore to wait out the storm and we caught couple of catfishes. Then we pushed through the weather to try couple of spots for Vermillion Snappers which we caught a lot! We then moved on to another spot and caught several trigger fish but unfortunately not long enough to keep. Regardless, we had a great time with Heath. We saw lots of Dolphins and a turtle as well. All in all a great day out fishing. I highly recommend booking with Heath.

best deep sea experience ive had.

10 Hour Trip – Offshore on November 15, 2025 • 6 adults

planned a deep sea guys trip and couldnt be happier with the outcome. there were a few of us who have done deep sea and others who havent. Heath was was awesome with his instruction and patience. we ended up being taking home the largest haul hes had 76 fish. the entire day was none stop catching would highly recommend to everyone to use reel job. we are definitely gonna be using him for our next trip next year. thanks again for the great photos and experience.

Excellent Family fishing trip!!

We couldn’t be any more happier with our family fishing trip with Captain Keith, he was patient, friendly and fun and kept us engaged and on the fish, super accommodating to our requests with a great attitude, his equipment is top notch from his tackle to his boat, you can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat and take care of his equipment.
