I’m Captain Will, Born and raised in Florida, I’m a Navy Veteran that has been taking boats offshore since I was 15, From tournament Kingfishing to chasing Tuna in the northeast Canyons and everything in between.
I bought my first boat while still living in the barracks in Virginia Beach, and haven't slowed down since. If you want to chase big fish or just enjoy the sights the panhandle has to offer look no further.
The boat is a KenCraft 235 with twin 200s and the best in electronics, with RADAR and Spotlock. Outriggers for trolling. I have bean bags for those who want a comfortable seat for transits. Boat has a fully controlled second station and a stereo system. I provide gear but if you have a favorite rod and reel that is up to the type of fishing feel free to bring it.
It is BYOB. Please no spray sunscreen, it kills baitfish. Large coolers shall be left in cars to save space on the boat. I recommend 4 anglers but will take up to 6 in very good conditions or if we are staying inshore. Please wear closed toed shoes, crocs are good as well.

We had an amazing offshore fishing trip with Captain Will — truly a standout experience. From the moment we boarded, he made everyone feel welcome, especially the kids. His calm, friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm kept them engaged the entire time. Their excitement was contagious.
The boat was spotless and well-equipped, and Captain Will clearly knew the best spots to find fish. We caught a great variety and learned a lot along the way. Whether you're an experienced angler or bringing your family out for a fun day on the water, this is the captain you want. We’ll definitely be booking with him again — it was the kind of trip that creates lifelong memories.

Will is a great captain that put us on fish all day. Great with kids and extremely knowledgeable about the local waters. Kept everyone baited and we landed a bucnh of triggerfish, a solid keeper grouper and a nice amberjack and r e snapper that were unfortunately out of season. Stop looking and book with Will!

Unforgettable Day on the Water!

I couldn’t have imagined a better day out on the water. We started the trip by catching bait and then moved out into deeper water to target a wide variety of species. Along the way, we were even treated to a dolphin sighting—my wife was thrilled!
Captain Will put us right on the action. By the end of the trip, I was completely worn out from reeling in big fish. We caught just about every species you could hope for—amberjack, red snapper, triggerfish, sharks, and several others.
The boat with Tailslide Charters is top-notch, and Captain Will ensures you’re well taken care of with music playing and complimentary waters and Gatorades ready to go. He’s not only an excellent guide but also incredibly patient, informative, and just an all-around great guy.
As an avid freshwater angler, and someone who’s been deep sea fishing before, I can honestly say this was my favorite trip. If I’m ever back in Destin, I’ll definitely be booking with Captain Will again. Highly recommend!

Will took us out and gave us a great experience. From starting with catching live bait to hitting up different spots, we had an awesome time. The rain hit at one point and we stuck it out getting to catch fish in the rain and thunder. Caught tons of different fish; vermillion snapper, trigger fish, king mackerel, and amber jack! Even though we couldn’t keep the amber jack because it was out of season, they gave the best fight! Would definitely go again in the future and you won’t have a bad time when you go out with Will for your fishing trip!
HUGE BONUS: All the fish you catch, he personally cleans them all for you.

Our first time in destin Florida.We came across tailslide sport fishing seen great views so we gave it a try many to choose off. Captain willaim was every in tone with us opened communication back and forth. keeping us updated with everything the whole week. the day of the trip we arrived early he was already there waiting on us every Polite, respectful every knowledgeable. We all had a blast Caught some fishes along the way seen some dolphins as well. Until we went out to the golf me and my boys got sea sick lol overall trip and the Captain Williams where amazing. 1 outta 10 ill give him a 20.
