Your fishing machine for the day is a 22' Bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Awesome day
Day trip on January 13, 2026
Derrious took me, my son, and my dad on a half-day trip. It was amazing from the start. I haven’t fished since I was younger than my son’s age, so I was thankful that he took care of everything: rods, reels, bait, instruction, everything. He also knew where the best spots were, not just based on historical success, but weather patterns and water levels. We caught a ton of catfish that we kept, and a couple of others that were tossed back. At the end of the day, Derrious cut and cleaned the fish and bagged them for us to take home. He really took care of everything. The only thing we brought was a small cooler with ice so we could bring our catch home. My dad and my son and I had an amazing day, so much fun, and are definitely excited to do it again sometime soon. Can’t tell you how much of a pro Derrious is…the dude knows his stuff and will make sure that your party enjoys itself, too!

Trout Fishing with Capt Derrious

Our trip with Capt Derrious was absolutely unforgettable! He took my mom and me out trout fishing near Grand Isle, and from start to finish, it was an incredible experience. Not only did we catch plenty of trout, but he made the entire day fun, relaxed, and stress-free.
He was patient, helpful, and made sure both of us were comfortable and confident the whole time. Whether you’re experienced or brand new to fishing, he knows how to tailor the trip so you have a great time.
As if the fishing wasn’t enough, we also got to enjoy some amazing smash burgers near Grand Isle, which made the day even better. Great fishing and great food? You really can’t beat that combo.
This trip meant so much to me getting to share it with my mom, and Capt Derrious made it special. If you’re thinking about booking a charter, don’t hesitate you won’t regret it. We’ll definitely be back!

Rain & Shine with Captain Derrious

If you want a stress & hassle free day then this is for you!! The merchandise given to us before the trip was an added bonus! We were a little worried due to the rain forecast for the day, however we still caught fish and had a blast! The lunch was provided while they cleaned our catch which made it even better! Derrious made everything so easy with the instructions on what we needed, where to be and the flow of the day. We highly recommended and look forward to another trip!
