A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.

Captain Dan was great. Good pre communication. He encouraged our participation in the whole process. It was an enjoyable time on the lake and we caught our limits for walleye. Mike was a good first mate and very helpful with information and our participation. We would book with Captain Dan again for sure.
