McKinley Charters 

I fish all over and am a captain myself and i decided to take my son and some family fishing while on vacation. if you are looking for an amazing captain and mate to out you on fish, Scott is your man. Unbelievable day on the water. Scott immediately put us on fish at our first spot landing a couple large amberjacks, sea bass and snapper. Scott had four or five different spots we hit during the day and every one produced! He’s by far one if the best captains ive had the pleasure of fishing with. His mate was top notch and work very well together to put you on fish and fill the box. i would highly recommend Scott if you’re looking to fish out of thr Murrells Inlet area.

Well I was not a Fan of booking the trip with the intent of thinking we were going to be picked up from our hotel like is said in fish booker because that was not part of the trip, we had to meet the captain in the morning,and not at 4am like it said in fish booker either it was at 6am. we didn’t really leave out of the dock until almost 7, with a 2 hour ride out. its been my experience to catch good fish trolling you need to be fishing at 6-630am not just putting in the water at that time. We did not catch anything trolling, but there were other boats out there and they were not catching anything either. Captain Scott and his first mate were actually wonderful to fish with, although we could see a ton of fish in the depth finder we only caught about 6 fish all day. It definitely was not Captain Scott and his first mates fault the fish just were not biting, but that’s why they call it fishing and not catching lol. My sons had fun being out there on the water and they prioritized the kids fishing which was a very big deal to me. The kids didn’t like the first mate throwing trash into the ocean(plastic, cigarette boxs etc.) instead of throwing it in a trash can so they can definitely work on that. But I would definitely recommend booking with them again, they were very knowledgeable and very kind. Captain Scott even gave us some fish out of his own freezer to take home as even he could not believe the fish were not biting. if you want a great Captain and crew I would give them a shout. I know when we come back we will be booking with him again.

Captain Scott and his first mate Mr. Pat was awesome! very easy going and patient. We had some family fly up from San Diego to test the Atlantic waters and Captain Scott did not dissapoint! Fought a whole lot of Amberjacks, Vermilion Snappers, Black Sea Bass and a lot more variety of species! We had a great time and will book again with McKinley Charters again!!

Great boat, great captain and great 1st mate! I’ll definitely be rebooking next year. I’ve been skunked on several other charters but this trip made up for all of that! Big thanks

Captain Scott put in the effort to take us out to troll and Bottom fish. Trolling we caught one Dolphin fish bite was slow so we moved closer to shore to bottom fish. We put 23 keepers in the ice and several through backs either small or fish we didn’t want to keep. Great day though, thank you

My son’s first deep water experience. Mahi bite was slow so we quickly pivoted. Cuaght a bunch of fish (amber jack, grouper, jolthead porgy, triggers, etc.). Would definitely do it again!

We have went fishing with four other charters! This by far the best trip we have had! We caught fish all day long!

We knew it was going to be a rough sea day Scott handled the boat and the ocean very professionally

Great day fishing with 6 of us on 8hr trip. Captain took us 45-60 miles out to get the fish (no other boat in sight). Motored out 1:45 minutes to reef in 175ft. Kept 19 and threw back twice as many. Probably a dozen different species caught. Good times had by all.
