Come find out what makes fishing in Quepos, Costa Rica so unique with Fly Legend Fishing! Whether you’re a seasoned angler or brand new to the sport, Capt. Fabian will take you on a memorable trip chasing some of the Pacific’s most exciting inshore and offshore species.

🎯 What Can You Catch?
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into:
Amberjack, Pacific Barracuda, Red Snapper, Cubera Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Roosterfish, Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Yellowfin Tuna, Broomtail Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Golden Trevally, Bluefin Trevally, and whatever else is biting!

🛥 Your Boat & Techniques
You’ll head out on a 23’ Coral 23 center console, ideal for up to 4 passengers. The boat is fully equipped for a productive day on the water and includes all the essentials—rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait (which we’ll go catch if needed).

We commonly troll and bottom fish using light tackle, but fly fishing is also available upon request.

👨👩👧👦 Family-Friendly Fun
Our trips are great for kids! If you’re bringing young anglers, let us know in advance—we’ll do our best to have child-sized life vests ready (or feel free to bring your own). Don’t forget some snacks to keep them fueled and happy throughout the trip.

🤝 Your Crew
Capt. Fabian and a skilled First Mate will be on board to help you make the most of your trip. The team will work hard, so a 10–20% tip is always appreciated.

📋 What to Bring
• Fishing license: Required for everyone in your group. Ask Capt. Fabian or check online before your trip.
• Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen (reef-safe, non-spray), and a reusable water bottle.
• Drinks are included on board, and light snacks or a meal will be available. You’re welcome to bring your own drinks—just no hard liquor or glass bottles, please.

Great 1/2 day trip!

5 Hour Trip – Inshore on December 2, 2025 • 2 adults

Capt Fabian did a great job! He worked hard to find the fish, going further out to where reports of tuna and Sails were following a pod of Dolphin. We ended up catching some tuna, and the overall experience was excellent. On the way in he cut up some for a snack and then steaked the rest for us to take for dinner. We saw hundreds of dolphin in a massive pod, with the tuna schooling around them. It was a spectacular sight. Then we saw a couple humpback whales, multiple sea turtles, etc. the ocean was teeming with life. Capt Fabian's English was outstanding, and he had top notch Shimano gear and garmin electronics. His boat is super clean and he takes care of it. You can tell he enjoys fishing and wants to catch fish as bad as you do! We fished right next to several large sportfishers, and they were doing the same thing as us at 3x the cost!!! I have fished in CR out of the same Marina 6 times in the last 12 months. Big boats and small boats in shore and off shore. Will absolutely charter Fly Legend again. Recommend for 3 people to ensure everyone has room to fight the fish.

Unforgettable Family Fishing Adventure

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on July 25, 2025

We had an amazing day rooster fishing with Captain Fabian aboard Fly Legend II. He was super friendly, patient, and great with the kids — even let them drive the boat, which totally made their day. We caught two beautiful roosterfish, a snapper, and a jack. Captain Fabian taught us how to catch our own bait and how to use different lures, which made the experience even more fun and educational. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure and great memories — we can't wait to go again!

Out of this world trip!!!

6.5 hour offshore fishfing trip on December 17, 2025

It's not often you meet a captain that wants to be there as much as you do! Cpt. Fabian was knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely enjoyed being on the water. We had such a great time that we canceled other plans to rebook with him again 2 days later. I genuinely think this was one of the best charter trips I have ever been on. I am already planning our return trip to fish with him again!

Incredible experience!!!

5 Hour Trip – Inshore on November 6, 2025

From the moment we stepped on the boat, Fabian and Kenny treated us like friends. Amazingly knowledgeable and gracious. We caught so many fish, my arms hurt. When the fishing guy really hot, he even shared his success with fellow charters, showing true integrity (and helping other guides catch fish). Great boat, great crew, great captain. We're coming back as soon as we can.
