Until we got back to the dock and I was told that while I paid the trips deposit via credit card, the owner would not accept the same credit card for the balance payment. Nor would they accept PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle, or any other credit card, as they did not want to pay the commission to FishingBooker. Instead, they insisted that they required over $300 USD in cash on the spot, which I did not bring with me. The only solution they would accept was for me to go to a bank and withdraw the cash. To do this, they required me to go in a van with two men I had never met, leaving my friend and our sons behind. This took over an hour, was unsafe and inappropriate, and could have been avoided with better communication. Captain Sergio was awesome and we had a great time on the boat, but it was somewhat ruined by the experience afterward.
