We had an amazing time with Ben as our fishing guide! Even though it was a slower day on the water, the experience was absolutely top-notch from start to finish. Ben made us feel like we'd known him for years — easy to talk to, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on making sure everyone had a great time. His positive attitude and personality turned the trip into much more than just fishing. As an added bonus, we were able to bring home fresh shrimp and crab, which made the day even more memorable! If you're looking for a guide who creates a fun, relaxed, and enjoyable experience regardless of how the fish are biting, Ben is your guy. Highly recommend!

thank you for the review Dennis. I hope you, Mirza, Mike and Harry had a great time during your trip to Vancouver. Hope to see you guys again if you are ever back in town!
We went out with Captain Ben for a 6 hour trip. He made the experience enjoyable for myself, my father, and my 12 year old son. Captain Ben made a point to learn our names and continuously teach us what we were doing out there. It was just a thing where he would catch the fish and us reel. My son walked away from the dock that day saying that it was the best time fishing he'd ever had. Highly recommend!

thank you for the review. It was a treat for me to have all 3 generations of the Mulder family onboard to enjoy a great day on the water!
Ben was not only knowledge about the area and his boat and a skilled fisherman, but led us in a fishing experience with heart. Instead of doing the work for my husband and our sons and then taking pictures of them with fish and crabs, he coached them through the catches so that they could truly say they succeeded at the catch. He was encouraging and made it fun. He also cared about doing what's best for the fish we released. As a family man.himself, he knew how to maximize the experience for our family. My guys caught several fish and hauled in lots of crabs.

It was truly my pleasure to spend the day with your family Steven. You and Kris have raised fine young gentlemen in Pieter and Sebastian. Have a great time on your Alaska cruise!

So freaking smart, so generous with his teaching and sharing, he excuted an extraordinary level of detail when it came to the terminal tackle setups and presentations, and offered detailed coaching on the minor things that make a big difference in the fighting and netting of a fish. Oh and the boat setup is level 100. On top of that, Captain Ben is just a good human and actually truly went the extra mile(s) for both myself and his other guests that day. My favorite take away was how he described triggering Salmons aggression instinct with the flashers and terminal tackle. I kinda always thought that phrase aggression instinct was like "fighting back". But he connected it to the instinctual habit of feeding, not from hunger, but the gut reaction to attack prey. He described it like a cat chasing a laser pointer, they almost can't stop themselves, and its not cause theyre hungry or gaining anything from swatting at the laser dot. … mind…blown…. Anyway, the cabin is nice and shielded from the winds, the equipment feels well maintained, the vibe onboard is positive and educational and tenacious for getting on fish. I cant wait to go out with Captain Ben early next summer and get after some Ling Cod and Prawns.

Was a pleasure to spent the morning with you Adam! Looking forward to spending some more good times with you on the water in a few months. see you soon!
Captain Ben was fantastic. Easy to reach, quick to communicate with, and kept us well-informed about the weather leading up to our trip. Out on the water, he explained everything about fishing in a way that made us feel safe, confident, and excited to learn more about salmon fishing. We had plenty of action with multiple bites, and thanks to Ben's guidance, we successfully landed a beautiful 23lb Chinook! Even when the waves picked up during the second half of the trip, Ben made sure we always felt safe and comfortable. We hooked into a few more fish, though some were undersized or slipped away—but that just added to the thrill. Overall, it was a fun and memorable trip, and I wouldn't hesitate to head out with Captain Ben again next time!

it was a pleasure to have your group onboard. hope to see you all very soon!
