Stop Drop And Troll Adventures Ltd.
Come aboard A Salt Weapon and take aim at the catch of a lifetime. This 21' Stabicraft heavy-duty aluminum offshore fishing vessel is built for West Coast conditions and offers excellent stability for serious fishing, delivering a safe and comfortable time on the water.
Captain Al, owner and operator of Stop Drop And Troll Adventures, is a seasoned angler who loves sharing his passion for fishing and life on the water. His goal is simple: get you on the fish while delivering a fun day on the water full of fishing and plenty of “fishy high fives.”
Trips focus on small group private charters tailored for beginners, seasoned anglers, and families alike, creating a personalized experience and an unforgettable day on the water. Captain Al runs quality gear and tackle with Scotty downriggers to give guests the best opportunity for success.
Fishing focuses on all available in-season Pacific salmon species. Chinook and Coho are common targets, and during odd-numbered years the pink salmon runs can provide incredible action. When salmon seasons are closed, DNA sampling tours allow guests to contribute to fisheries research while still getting out on the water fishing.
Captain Al also takes excellent care of every catch and is a ticketed butcher, ensuring your fish is properly handled and prepared to take home.
Trips start with a minimum 5-hour charter, ideal for local salmon fishing. If you'd like to travel further offshore or target additional species like Lingcod, Rockfish, or the Fraser River mouth fisheries, trips can be extended to any length at $150 per hour plus 5% GST when scheduling permits.

Al was an unforgettable host! Warm, skilled, and deeply knowledgeable. Within the first hour, we were already reeling in Coho and Chinook salmon, each catch adding to the excitement of the day. He didn’t just guide the experience, he enriched it. Al shared the inner workings of the craft with genuine passion, captured beautiful photos along the way, and somehow still found time to be an incredible BBQ master and fillet expert. It was the kind of experience that stays with you, thanks to a host who clearly loves what he does.

Thanks for the kind words Ernest. i really enjoyed fishing with you guys and look forward to the next time. Tight lines!

Captain Al was a great tour guide and made the trip thoroughly enjoyable. We will be bringing all of our business clients here, especially the fair weather fishers as the boat was beyond comfortable and designed to be as comfortable as possible with weather conditions. Luckily it was calm and sunny for us, but even still he provided us with relief bands so that our sea legs didn’t get the better of us.
Captain Al was a fantastic host. A great man who made us feel welcome and kept us entertained all day! So knowledgeable and taught us a lot. And most importantly got us onto a lot of fish. Couldnt recommend a trip with him anymore!

thanks for the kind words Ben. was great fishing with you boys and good luck on the rest of your tournament.
we were out with Captain Al and and a fantastic 5 hours of Salmon fishing. Al was a perfect Captain, knowledgable, fun and considerate. We (daughter, 17, Son 14 and myself) caught in total 5 Salmon including a prize 17lbs Chinook. A day to remember, can only recommend it to fellow fishers!.
We had an amazing time out wirh Captain Al. He is very knowledgeable not only about the fishing but also about the area in general. The views are worth the trip alone. We caught a bunch of king and silver salmon and one 16 pounder. Thanks Captain Al!
