    Such an amazing experience!

    4 hour trip • 2 adults

    We met at the federal marina next to the naval hospital. Paid cash for the dock fees and headed out onto the water. We elected for the 4 hour trip, so we met with another fisherman for our first round of bait. Captain Epi and his first mate are seasoned fishermen and used a trolling technique. Our catches started less than an hour in with spanish mackerel and some small skipjack tunas. We then used some of those as bait for three large Skipjacks, a Dorado (mahi-mahi that got away) and a trophy sized river snook (45” long! the captain said it was the largest one he’d ever caught!) We opted to get the snook taxidermied (through an American company that the captain works with), and Epi cleaned the remaining fish for us while we were out at sea. It was a great experience and are already thinking of when we can recreate the experience. They offer longer hours at sea, night time, and snorkeling. There’s a very fancy toilet on board. And they offered us cold waters and ice for our fish. If you’re looking for some great hosts, a small crew, and guaranteed fish, these are the guys.

    Excellent fishing trip!

    Capitán Epifanio welcomed us onto the Gilligan III for a fun morning of fishing. He and first mate Agustín were very kind and helpful for our group of four, including my 89 year old mother-in-law. We trolled around and managed to hook up with some nice Crevalle Jacks! The boat was adaquate- their equipment worked well and we had a great time- of course catching fish made the trip even better. When we return to Puerto Vallarta- we will definitely schedule another trip on the Gilligan III.

    Had a blast

    I took my daughter, my father-in-law and my brother-in-law fishing with Eppi and Chewy‘s and had a blast. The fishing started slow, but they kept us entertained until we started catching fish.

    Had a great 8 hr charter today. Chuey was captain and Jorge was first mate. Both were great. No issues with English. Caught lots of fish. About a dozen skip jacks, Spanish mackerel, two large Jack crevelle, and lost a nice mahi mahi at the boat. They knew what they were doing. Both very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you consider Epi Gilligan.
