Family Time Fishing Charters is run by Captain Justin Hill, who is fully licensed through the United States Coast Guard and insured for your fishing adventure. Launching from Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, you can join Capt. Justin on the surrounding nearshore and offshore waters for an exciting half day, full day or 11-hour Gulf Stream charter. Captain Justin spends a great amount of time on the water to ensure that you have a fun and successful fishing trip with Family Time Fishing Charters. He enjoys sharing his wealth of knowledge of sport fishing with others, and hopes to ignite a passion for the sport in the future generations.
Step aboard his Custom Buddy Harris Sport Fisher, which is powered by Detroit Diesel with 735 horsepower. Not only is the boat fast, but it also offers a stable fishing platform, and comes equipped with modern Garmin electronics and quality safety gear. It can comfortably accommodate up to six anglers with its wide and spacious deck and Salon that features plenty of seating. The boat is also fitted with heat, A/C, outriggers, downriggers, live bait tank, private bathroom with full toilet, and an icebox to keep both your day’s catch and your refreshing drinks and snacks chilled during the day.
Capt. Justin specializes in light and heavy tackle, trolling, drift and bottom fishing, and uses only high-quality gear such as Shimano Tiagra reels for offshore trips, and lightweight state-of-the-art rods and reels for inshore and live bait trips. No matter if you are new to fishing, or are a seasoned pro, Capt. Justin has a trip suitable for all skill levels. He will get you targeting species such as Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Wahoo, Sharks, Amberjack, Sailfish, Black Sea Bass, Grouper, and more. Trips include rods, reels and terminal tackle, lures, live baits, fishing licenses, as well as cleaning of your catch at the end of the day.

Great Trip!
Half Day Morning Trip on June 25, 2025
Captain Justin and First Mate Trevor were top notch. We couldn't have asked for a better trip. They got us on the mackerel right away and were catching them the entire trip. The air-conditioned cabin was clutch to cool off for a few minutes in between catches since we had a heat advisory that week. Thank you guys for a great time and keep up the good work. We hope to be able to book this charter next year.

Grandsons fun
Half Day Mid Day on June 22, 2025
I took my three grandsons ages 13,12,10 and we had a blast. We caught so many fish. The captain and mate was so much fun and really made this fishing tripp enjoyable and fun. We ended up with about 77 nice size fish. We stayed busy just bring the fish in one after another. We strongly recommend booking the boat for your next fishing trip. Spanish Mackerel and Shark Fishing
Half Day Afternoon on June 28, 2025
Captain Justin and first mate Trevor did an amazing job getting us out on the water efficiently and immediately hooked up to some Spanish mackerel. They were both open to what type of fishing we wanted to do, and had some great boat music! Trevor did an amazing job getting the fish into the boat, changing out rods, coaching us on what to do, and replacing the rigging when it was damaged. 10/10!

Making hay when the un didn't shine!
Half Day Mid Day on October 16, 2024
Captain Justin and Mate Austin brought their "A" game on a cold and blustery day. Within 15 minutes of leaving the dock they had the boat and our party of four on the fish. Despite the cold weather we were able to stay warm due to the hot fishing. We quickly caught our personal limits and the boat limit. Counting those we kept and the "catch and release" and "catch and escape" fish we easily surpassed the century mark. Twice all four of us brought in fish at the same time. No pictures are available as we were too busy catching fish. Our thanks to both Captain and mate for the fantastic adventure. We will definitely be back.
