6 - Hours Half Day Trip on June 23, 20262 adults

I have waited for years for red snapper season to line up with a vacation, this year it did. I shared with Captain James that we wanted to catch our limit. On the day of our charter the water was pretty rough even in the bay. We arrived at the pass and he let us decide whether we wanted to continue into 3 ft. swells. I really appreciated that he acknowledged our comfort level, which he did for the entire trip. We have some near shore fishing experience and Captian James picked up on that. He knew when to step in and when to step out. He piloted out to where the big reds were and helped us get our limit. Thank you Captian for this great experience. Hope to see you next snapper season.

Great first time
6 - Hours Half Day Trip on March 27, 20261 adult1 child

My son and I have never been fishing other than lakes or ponds. This was a great first time experience. James walked us through the day, talked about what kind of fish we would most likely be catching. It took me a while to get use to this style of fishing. James showed us what the different bite styles would feel like for the fish we were catching. I should have warned him sometimes we are betting at feeding the fish than catching. Overall it was a great experience. Couldnt ask for better weather, great conversation, and fun fishing. 6 hours was probably just the right amount of time for my 11 year old son. Any less I think he qoukd have been frustrated as to not being able to fish as much, anymore probably would have got tired and aggitated if nothing was biting. Thank you James for the experience. Until next time!

Great Captain, Tough Conditions
4 - Hour Trip - 1:00 PM on May 12, 20262 adults

Even though the fish weren’t biting quite like we hoped and the weather man definitely oversold the conditions, we still had a great time with Angeleyes Fishing. Captain James did everything he could to make the most of a tough day on the water. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving people a good experience, no matter the conditions. Great conversations, good vibes, and high hopes the whole trip. We still made memories and enjoyed every minute out there. Appreciate the effort and hospitality, Captain James — we’d definitely come back and give it another shot.

this guy is awesome!
6 - Hours Half Day Trip on April 2, 20262 adults

Just got back from an awesome half-day trip with Captain James Sousa-seriously, what a great guy! The guy knows these waters like the back of his hand; he had us on fish before I even finished my coffee. We pulled in lots of fish; it had me grinning like an idiot. Super chill vibe too, no pressure, just good stories and solid tips. If you're looking for real local know-how and a haul that'll make your buddies jealous, book with James. Five stars, easy.

WOW‼️Epic trip with Captain James on Angeleyes
6 - Hours Half Day Trip on October 4, 2025

My son and I have booked several epics trip with Captain James. He’s an experienced captain, extremely knowledgeable about the local fisheries, water conditions and all species of fish that we've caught on our trips. On our way out he always points out several landmarks of interest and things to do in the area on and off the water. We always have a blast learning about and catching fish in this region. As abbot anglers, my son and I have fishing experience, but his knowledge shared with us about catching fish here in the Panhandle not only increased our catches but also ensured there was plenty of action on the rods! Not to mention another nice comfort is that his vessel is equipped with all required Coast Guard safety equipment, and his navigation skills are awesome. All we can say… is book one trip with Captain James and you’ll see for yourself just why he comes highly recommended by other captains and customers alike. Thanks again Captain James! My son and I are looking forward to our nest trip with you for the tiebreaker on Angeleyes! I think my fish was bigger!

Angler's Choice

The Angler's Choice Award is given to listings that consistently deliver a high-quality service and earn great reviews from customers.

I have been fishing the Florida Panhandle since moving here in 1989. Started out as a first mate on a sportfishing boat competeting in many tournaments for offshore fish. I personally enjoy teaching and taking out people for their sometimes first time experience with the excitement and feeling of accomplishment when the battle is over. I enjoy being on the water and giving that experience to others
