Make the most of your time on Florida’s Emerald Coast and go fishing with Small Wave Charters. Captain Sean will be your guide in and around Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, and Navarre Florida, giving you access to local experience.
Species like Speckled Trout, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, Tarpon, and more are in the cards, depending on the season.
Capt. Sean is an enthusiastic fly fishing guide. The skiff is set up with top-of-the-line fly fishing gear from brands like 3-Tand reels, Forgotten Coast Outfitters, Sage, Orvis, and other top companies. All flies are provided, with most being tied by Sean to match local baits. Small Wave Charters also offers light spinning tackle trips (LT) with all lures and live bait provided. All tackle is from reputable manufacturers.
Small Wave Charters is a kid-friendly charter service, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Child-sized life vests are available on board if you elect to bring a kid along for the adventure. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
You’ll step aboard 20' Xpress H20B, capable of carrying 4 clients plus all you snacks and catch of the day. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Sean will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures, and live bait if required for the day.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. There will be water provided on board, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Sean was the best! He knew so much and was very confident in taking brand new salt water fishermen on a trip. He put us on Sea Trout right away. We fished for four hours straight and were sad to leave. My son caught more fish than me but we dont have a number, we lost count! We will most definitely will book with him again when we return to Florida. He was personable, confident, and spoke to us like we were friends for life. If youre looking for a great time, book this trip. We did the four hour inshore. We thought that flyfishing would be a bit much for a first time in the salt. If you have kids, Sean will be great. He was patient and thoughtful in his answers for all the questions we asked. Book this trip. It will be great!

We had an absolutely incredible inshore fishing trip with Captain Sean! From the moment we stepped onto the boat, it was clear that Captain Sean is a true professional who knows these waters inside and out. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and went above and beyond to make sure both of us on board had a fantastic time and caught plenty of fish. The boat was clean, comfortable, and fully equipped with top-notch gear. Whether you are an experienced angler or a beginner, Captain Sean will tailor the trip perfectly to your skill level. We cannot recommend him highly enough and will definitely be booking another charter with him soon!

If you want to do a fishing trip with someone who truly enjoys what they do, then book with Sean. My daughter loves to fish but was born into a family of non fishers. We just wanted to give give her a chance to reel some fish in and get some pointers. The forecast was shaky the day of our reservation but Sean stayed in touch and adjusted our start time to make sure we could get on the water. He warned us fishing might not be great but he found a spot and Nora caught several fish. He gave her tips along the way and told her about all the different species. At the end he even sat with her and showed her how to tie different knots and gave her a goodie bag of baits. We could not have had a better guide and will absolutely be booking with Sean again when we are back in the area. Highly recommend, especially if you are going our with kids!

I will start off by saying Sean is a masterclass of a captain. He is incredibly professional and a down-to-earth human being. Our group was two dads each with a son. One family was relatively experienced in fishing whereas the other family was new to fishing, especially saltwater. We then started our trip with a thorough safety brief before getting into the daily plan. From there we fished multiple spots during our 4 hour session with success at every location. Sean made both families feel at home on the water regardless of experience levels. We would definitely book him again in the future. Thanks again!

Captain Sean was great. We started to fish on a tough day. Winds up and initially fishing was slow. He kept searching and at the end started catching a lot. Although the 4 hrs was up, Captain Sean continued to let us catch fish well after our finish time. He genuinely cares and takes pride in making sure you catch fish. Very personable, and conversation was very fun! Boat and equipment top notch, not beat up and old. Highly recommend if you want these things in your fishing guide. From someone whose fished all over the Southern US.
