Make the most of your time on Florida’s Emerald Coast and go fishing with Small Wave Charters. Captain Sean will be your guide in and around Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, and Navarre Florida, giving you access to local experience.
Species like Speckled Trout, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, Tarpon, and more are in the cards, depending on the season.
Capt. Sean is an enthusiastic fly fishing guide. The skiff is set up with top-of-the-line fly fishing gear from brands like 3-Tand reels, Forgotten Coast Outfitters, Sage, Orvis, and other top companies. All flies are provided, with most being tied by Sean to match local baits. Small Wave Charters also offers light spinning tackle trips (LT) with all lures and live bait provided. All tackle is from reputable manufacturers.
Small Wave Charters is a kid-friendly charter service, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Child-sized life vests are available on board if you elect to bring a kid along for the adventure. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
You’ll step aboard 20' Xpress H20B, capable of carrying 4 clients plus all you snacks and catch of the day. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Sean will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures, and live bait if required for the day.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. There will be water provided on board, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Half Day Trip - Inshore (AM) (LT)
Exciting Trip, Great for All Experience Levels
The fish weren't working well the day of our trip, but Sean still made it a great morning! We had three inexperienced fishermen, two were teenagers. He was patient with all of us and took time to show us the basics and how to use each type of lure. He took us to a variety of spots and was willing to change things up to try to get us on fish. There were lots of spots he found with plenty of fish, but the fish just overall weren't hungry. Still, we caught a few and also had some that got away. We saw sharks and dolphins up close. It was exciting trying to catch a shark! The scenery was beautiful. Sean was enjoyable and friendly. He has a great passion for fishing and is very knowledgeable. We loved our time on the water and look forward to booking Sean again. 100% recommend!!

Amazing Time on the Water!
We had an incredible 2-hour trip with Small Wave Charters! From the moment we stepped on the boat, everything was easy, fun, and well-organized. We caught fish, enjoyed the beautiful views, and had an awesome time getting to know the captain, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even better. Full Day Trip– Inshore (LT)
Tough day on the water
Some days the fish are biting and other days they are not. Sean busted his rear trying to get us on some fish. He kept our hooks full and made lure changes and site changes to give us the best chance possible. Sean was very friendly. He was easy to talk to as we had great conversations thru out the trip. Would I fish with him again if ever we visited again? You bet I would. Thanks Sean for making our trip a pleasurable one.

Half Day Trip - Inshore (PM) (LT)
Great trip for the boys
I take my son (12) every year on a fishing trip. This year we decided to go to FL on a guided trip (we live in TX). We ended up bringing my son's best friend last minute and the guide was more than welcoming to the extra person. We had a great time and caught some fish in spite of weather. The captain was very friendly and talked a lot to the boys. Will definitely book again next time we come.

Great trip for my boys first time
Sean was very good with boys with it being there first time doing this type of fishing. They each caught something and my little finally was able to catch a catfish. We may not have caught anything to keep and bring home, but to me it was more of the memories of seeing them get hooked a saltwater fish.Their already asking when we going again. Thanks Sean
