Excited to catch some fish in Mooresville or nearshore in North Carolina? Then Slice o Life Charter and Cruise has a trip with your name on it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Dexter can tell you all about them.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Drum, Bluefish, Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Flounder, Cobia, Catfish, Hybrid Striped Bass, Gag Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Grunt, Mahi Mahi, and who knows what else! On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your boat for the day is a 26' Cruiser 260 cuddy cabin that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Son’s Birthday

We’re visiting family for the holidays from Florida , and my son birthday was on Monday. He came to me late Sunday night and asked if he could go fishing for his birthday. I got on google which took me to this site! I didn’t know if it was real but I risked it by booking with Capitan Dexter! I was able to call him to verify and he was able to make my Son birthday a great experience! The weather wasn’t great but he was able to let him come back the next morning and continue to fish! My son turned 15, and loves fishing! He always bring his fishing pole on every vacation because that’s something he loves to do! Thank you Captain for being able to take my son and his cousin out for a great experience! We will be back and will book again!

First week in town we tried fishing on our own. I'll just say failed mission. I suggested to the guys at work hey let's get a guided fishing trip. We all agreed.
Made the call and got a guide very easy. Dexter took us out. Bait fish was hard to get Sat so he put us on spoons. We then started to nail the bass and perch. Dexter wasn't happy with the fish he got us and the Sunday client cancelled. He offered to take us out on Sunday. We exceted the trip.
Started before sunrise. Granted we didn't get some hybrids. But he hooked us on a nice blue and we filled the cooler with fish.
We all had a blast and will definitely be calling Dexter back for further trips.
Thank you Dexter for a great weekend. And if you make it to North Idaho we'll get you on some northern pike.

Guy’s, going to put this down as one of the best trips I’ve had in a long time. Bite was slow and you guy’s made me earn my money, but was worth every minute.
