  Off Shore Fishing with Captain Dexter and Amy

  We had the BEST time fishing with Captain Dexter and Amy! From the moment we stepped on the boat they made everything feel relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely fun — not intimidating at all, even if you’re not an experienced fisherman. Captain Dexter seriously knows his stuff. You can tell he’s been doing this a long time — he explains what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and actually teaches you instead of just handing you a rod. We learned more in one trip than we ever have before! Amy is just as amazing — she keeps everything organized, helps with bait, hooks, pictures, and basically makes sure everyone is having a good time the entire trip. She makes you feel comfortable and taken care of the whole day. Honestly, they spoil you on their charters. It doesn’t feel like a business transaction — it feels like you’re out fishing with friends who happen to be really, really good at it. We’ll 100% be booking again and recommending them to everyone we know!

  Son’s Birthday

  5 Hour Trip – Lake Norman (PM) on December 29, 2025 • 2 adults

  We’re visiting family for the holidays from Florida , and my son birthday was on Monday. He came to me late Sunday night and asked if he could go fishing for his birthday. I got on google which took me to this site! I didn’t know if it was real but I risked it by booking with Capitan Dexter! I was able to call him to verify and he was able to make my Son birthday a great experience! The weather wasn’t great but he was able to let him come back the next morning and continue to fish! My son turned 15, and loves fishing! He always bring his fishing pole on every vacation because that’s something he loves to do! Thank you Captain for being able to take my son and his cousin out for a great experience! We will be back and will book again!

  5 Hour Trip – Lake Norman (PM) on December 20, 2025 • 3 adults

  First week in town we tried fishing on our own. I'll just say failed mission. I suggested to the guys at work hey let's get a guided fishing trip. We all agreed. Made the call and got a guide very easy. Dexter took us out. Bait fish was hard to get Sat so he put us on spoons. We then started to nail the bass and perch. Dexter wasn't happy with the fish he got us and the Sunday client cancelled. He offered to take us out on Sunday. We exceted the trip. Started before sunrise. Granted we didn't get some hybrids. But he hooked us on a nice blue and we filled the cooler with fish. We all had a blast and will definitely be calling Dexter back for further trips. Thank you Dexter for a great weekend. And if you make it to North Idaho we'll get you on some northern pike.

  Guy’s, going to put this down as one of the best trips I’ve had in a long time. Bite was slow and you guy’s made me earn my money, but was worth every minute.   Awesome Sunset Fishing

  3 Hour Trip - Summer Sundown on June 24, 2026 • 4 adults • 1 child

  We planned bringing our own boat on vaca but due to the drought there was not enough water at our lake front rental home property. Captain Dexter and Amy made our trip worth it! We spent a beautiful evening on the lake with an awesome sunset, great fishing and even better company! We has an amazing time and according to our 6 year old it was the “best day ever!”

  Fantastic morning catching fish

  5 Hour Trip – Lake Norman on June 5, 2026 • 1 adult

  From the first line drop to the last I spent the morning catching Hybrids the largest over 6 lbs. Thrown in we caught numerous spotted bass. Capt. Dexter's knowledge of the lake and fish was top tier. I recommend you book the 4 to 5 hour charter. You won't be disappointed I will be booking with him again soon.
