Depending on conditions, you might hook into Snappers, Amberjack, Skipjack, Coral Trout, Barracuda, Blue Marlin, Groupers, Sailfish, Giant Trevally, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and whatever else is biting. We even provide traditional Maldivian harpooning technique for catching Wahoo and Sailfish, a method practiced only in the Maldives and passed down through generations. This isn't just fishing; it's a cultural experience. During the trip you might be spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Yaaniu also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Capt. Yaaniu runs a 24' Bluewater center console that holds up to 5 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

Last minute needed a trip to go fishing and I managed to get my bucket list fish on a "popper". Thanks to the recommendation of the Capt and crew, I managed to hook onto 2 fishes, 1 is a shark which I didn't manage to land and 1 20kg Giant Trevally on the popper given to me by the captain. He is knowledgeable, have 10 years of experience and speaks very very good English. They gave us lots of refreshments (water and some sweet drinks) and they had a nice toilet even though the boat was quite small. The experience was all beyond my expectations and this charter is highly recommended
