Spend the day with Tinieblo Sport Fishing and let them show you what makes the fishing in Puerto Vallarta so memorable! Your guide for the day is Captain, bringing aboard their local experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Blue Shark, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Wahoo, Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Amberjack, Pacific Barracuda, and who knows what else!
You'll target your catch by fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks – luckily, Capt. will have some on board!
You'll be casting lines from a 72' Convertible with room for 12 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
